.mobi SMS/Text Services?

I have just regged two .mobis named multisms & multitext to cater for mass texting to friends and relatives. My idea is to make a site where the user can upload their friends/relatives mobile numbers into a database and when they have an announcement/message en mass to their chosen group, such as to friends 'i won't be able to make it to the party' or to relatives 'it's a girl!!!' and so on they can do it all with a click of a button.

Do you know much do these free text services cost and how i can impliment this via a mobile website?

That's a really great idea I have no clue how to implement that, but it must not be that much harder than setting up a contact list, allowing one to 'select all contacts', and somehow have that sent to them via SMS?

If you are looking for a free mobile gateway use VAZU.com. The only issue is they put VAZU.com on all text messages sent. Click on the developers link at the bottom. They have code examples as well.

Clickatell (www.clickatell.com) has an excellent SMS gateway. It's not free though. I have a test site that uses the gateway. PM me if you would like to check it out.
