Hey Everyone...

Newbie Domain Flipper here...
My name is Ellie and I live in Atlanta, Ga
I would love to learn some pro tactics
to sizing up a domain before I buy it.
So if anyone here can point me into the
right direction, please hmu!

I am currently a freelance web designer
and android app developer. (Mostly Self
taught). So I decided to throw in
part time domain flipper into the mix
as well.

Short term goals, is to make 1-2 domain
sales a month. Long term goal is to sell
at least 10-20 domains monthly.

I can't remember the first domain I
bought to be honest. But I do know
that I've spent well over $2k+ buying them
haven't sold any yet though...But I have
a gut feeling that is going to change
soon.

I decided to venture into domain flipping
because I see the money!!! This is basically
virtual real estate without the licensing
involved. lol.

see the money, where... in sales reports?

did you see how much you've spent already?

bet the registrars did.

my advice, remove the term flipper, as a descriptive adjective for yourself

:)

Good Luck!

Welcome to Namepros!

Invest wisely and be super picky with your acquisitions. It never ceases to amaze me how friendly and helpful many of the folks on NP are towards newcomers in the industry. You've come to the right place to learn.

Best of luck on your journey!

You don't think the buyers are just going to come looking for your domains....do you? If so, your in for a world of hurt unless you have ultra premium domains that get tons of traffic that everybody wants....

To be serious, you need to be an active seller, find your leads, personalize emails to those leads and price your domains so they will want to buy them.

All the best,
Eric

ZFBot .com or NameDroppers.com - These sites will show you a list of domains registered by keyword for free.

Then look up the WHOIS for contact emails.

Be mindful of trademarks before you start soliciting offers.
Select:

Then search by keyword here:

Oh boy....

Good video on how to find potential end users
https://www.namepros.com/threads/how-to-find-and-contact-end-users.907499/

Sample email formats
https://www.namepros.com/threads/end-user-email-samples-and-email-templates.853589/

and many many many more posts on these topics...use domaintools to find the owners email addresses if you can, otherwise find a contact email on the website.

Regards,
Eric
