This was on a private forum but its packets with members. My friend brought a siglink in dec late 2007, he brought it for a year. The guy removed his sig in 2008 Jan 2nd. And he said that 1 year passed already from 2007 to 2008 new year lool i was cracking up now they dealing with paypal disputes. I don't know if they really joking or for real but i never seen someone like that.

It depends on what the seller actually claimed. If he said "for the rest of the year" or similar wording, then it's a done deal. If he said "for a year", then he owes 365 days.

Indeed. It is all about wording, unfortunately.
The same applies to legal documents, terms of services, privacy policies, etc etc.
