Funny story about a forum I sold...

I had this dating forum a while back. I sold it to a third party. But it was a forum I built for my lazy and lame brother in law. He is totally clueless about the way of the SEO and internet.

Anyway, the guy who bought it isn't paying any attention to it. He made my BIL the admin. Now here is the funny part.

My brother in law has been deleting old posts because they are "messy!"

He has taken the forum post count down from nearly 2000 to just a little over 600. I tried to explain to him in the most elementary of terms why old posts are good, but alas it fell on deaf ears. What a dumbass

I have all my paycheck check from Google ads or wire-transfer in my brother name. The only thing he know he how much the paycheck or money is and how he use those money (how much will go to my bank, how much he can use...). That's it. He has no idea how I work for getting such amount of cash.

Here is the funny: He told my friends that he worked online for money.

Sounds like my brother in law. I told him he could get in on the .mobi action if he gave me the regfee for however many he wanted. So I picked 5 for him and he paid.

Now he has the domain bug, but he doesn't have a clue what goes on. So he calls me every day asking "is poker.mobi available?" or "is travel.mobi available". :hehe:

cute story! and i love how you called your BIL a "dumbass". hahaha family is great. my family doesn't much care for domains though...

I was telling my mum about domaining, shes like, James, i know about domains, i used to domain in 96 i was like :O
The sad thing of the story was, Her UK friend offered to domain with her for porn addresses and other addresses that are popular and she didn't end up doing it,
apparently the guy she used to domain with went big time too.

They ask me to check domains like poker.com and free.com. When I tell them of course they are taken they tell me to check anyway because "you never know" :hehe:
