Am I the only one sober in this thread? Are you seriously saying allinclusive.top
For example, I own newsletter.top - that's an english, even totally web related word (plus it's 100 % in 'german' usage too).
My asking price is 9,999.00 EUR - probably more in future, I will see.
But sure not less.

It's an understandable thing if the regsistry priced top words probably lower than a private domainer - at the end they got the yearly rent for it while for the domainer it's just one sale.

You have to be kidding. I know my comment will be removed but you have to be smoking something. I know top keyword .com or .net that you can probably buy for that price. Once again another generic extension.

I fear you may be right, your comments will likely be removed as "kingof.top" had my comments removed because I questioned the value of his toptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptop.top domain name.

He claimed it was "THE MOST EXPENSIVE DOMAIN OF ALL TIME" and I disagreed...

Incidentally, when exactly did this forum stop being a forum? I ask because if it was a real forum then real debate would be allowed!

I am always sober and thats why I know that 'allinclusive' fits definetely ways better to .top than to any other extension.
Accept that the .com elephant era is over - there is .top nowww ;)

Relax, I think your comment/s were removed because you wrote aboute a non - hack domain (my toptoptop... .top) in a thread about hack domains.

You can be sure, it's definetely no problem for me that you disagree to my belief about the ultimate value of my toptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptop.top domain or question your view about the value of it - you are welcome to question your view about it's value as often you like - but this makes not the slightest difference at the end that I am absolute convinced that only this domain is indeed the most expensive domain of all time.
I have real undeniable arguments for it, just search a bit for them in the web or direct here at nP ;)

The .com era, boom, or whatever you want to call it will never die. Those generic domains were made for people who could never get the .com, .net, .org they wanted because most people wanted a keyword domain that belongs to an investor, brand, or someone who just loves the domain. And these domain leaders knew they could pump out more domain extensions so that their registrar would make more money.

Think about it for a second.... Have you ever walked down a street and saw a business that advertised their products with anything other than .com, .net, .org? Or have you ever seen a vehicle wrapped with their business graphics and the domain on it had anything other than .com, .net, .org? Because I haven't. Remember .ninja? I have never been to a .ninja site other than a keyword one that I registered. I did Seo, did what I usually did to my regular extensions and made a website on it, it got as many visitors a day as I go to the bathroom.

Seriously, I would never type in a .top, .ninja .blue .red .estate .lawyer etc... You know people still disregard Google and type in domains in the browser bar.
To have inclusive.top rise to the top of a Bing or Google search you're going to have to work magic. Even a city name like NEWYORKCITY.TOP makes no sense. I could see NEWYORKCITY.GURU, .BLUE .RED and the color ones for police and fire appreciation. And still you'd never see reg fee in return from ads.

There is another guy on another forum who has built a cheesy network of websites in the adult industry with all generic extensions. Even with a few keyword based, they wil more than likely only be visited if someone does a back link for him, or he spends money on buying traffic for them and he's under the same impression. No .com or .net... And that's only because he wants million dollar domains like everyone else and has to pick up late in the game..

This is mere opinion and not meant to burst your bubble and maybe I'm just not adapting well with the whole 100000 generic extensions and people spending hard earned money for a dream of making some extra cash.

And I do a lot of research and searching on my competitors. They are all .com, .net or .org... Even of the domain is 8-12 letters, it had an Alexa rank of 100,000 and less. One was actually a .so extension and he did better because SEO, an expensive forum setup, and paid probably $50-100 a day buying traffic.

Cheers

Hmm, maybe you're right. A good geo+.top works for me 'though, e.g. newyork.top.

What is the premise behind a domain like this? Well, it could be promoted as a site that showcases all that is "top" in New York, e.g. top tradespeople or the most popular in certain categories.

Newyork.top/electricians, for example.. You think that could be promotable?

.top is and will be seen as the 'top label' for the word (domain name) left of the dot.

To use your example:
newyork.top is a perfect domain for a website for all what is top in New York.

.top simply means that this (domain name, content, etc.) is top.
It doesn't matter which term you use, it fits with always with .top because it is like a 'seal'.

Here is a real life example:

So basically saying if I had clothespins.guru my domain is guru?

A personal religious teacher and spiritual guide in Hinduism. 2. a: a teacher and especially intellectual guide in matters of fundamental concern b: one who is an acknowledged leader or chief proponent c: a person with knowledge or expertise: expert.

Or, ediblecardboard.red means my ediblecardboard is red?

If you had like geton.top, you could have something fun to work with. Not just some random word out of the dictionary going to be an instant hit man.

Every domain (domain name + extension) has a subliminal influence to those who read it.
.top beats all other extensions because it has the most powerful meaning while it's generic.
