I'm not quite sure if I'm following the rules correctly, but I wanted to start interacting in the community to learn more about domaining.

I just picked up recently a good amount of dot COM domains that are all in the bitcoin niche. I felt like it was a pretty huge niche and would have a showcase thread, but I searched and didn't see one.

If I understand correctly, you can only post your domains if it's in the specific niche showcase, so I took the initiative to begin one. If this is against the rules I apologize!

But post your bitcoin domains here! Mine will be following in the next post :tu:

I had ChinaXBT.com

Does no one understand or know or heard the news that XBT is NOW the official Acronym for Bitcoin by the international governing body ( I forget which) that handles Forex?

so the question is. when will XBT become mainstream adopted if ever?

Traders will know it, sort of like GBP or NZD in forex, so it might make sense for a few niche areas.
I don't think it is going to be very well known among the regular public though.

Bitcoin as Prefix? YES!!
Bitcoins in Prefix? NO!!!
Bitcoin as Suffix? Yes!!
Bitcoins as Suffix? Maybe depends on Prefix! like BuyBitcoins.com

Bitcoins vs. Bitcoin as a single word domain for all other extensions?

Bitcoin more $$$$
Bitcoins $$$$ but not as much as Bitcoin

I think everything I've said was needless but. there you go!

Don't forget that most currencies have a smaller unit as well as the main unit

Dollars have cents
Pounds have pence
Euros have eurines. :)
and Bitcoin has Satoshis

most people seem to focus on Bitcoin and ignore the smaller unit.

This could be because Bitcoin seems to be the name of the currecy as well as the unit. The pound is the Sterling unit, and the Yuan is the Renminbi - maybe we should have a separate name for the currency as distinct from the unit. What a great chance that would be for domainers. I vote that we should call it the Kuffy. :)

China's Bitcoin Miners See Profit in a Bigger-Block Blockchain
Screen-Shot-2016-11-04-at-4.36.48-PM.png

It was not entirely an idle joke when one speaker at China's first miner conference quipped that if the audience decided to launch a 51% attack against the bitcoin network, they would probably be able to pull it off.

Over a foggy weekend, around 250 people (the majority being miners gathered in Chengdu) filled a rather spacious conference hall to its capacity for an event called China's Miners' Conference, a mostly promotional event organized by major miner Bitmain. But, they came for more than the province's famous spicy food.

As of late, Sichuan has acquired the reputation of being the center of bitcoin mining. Its hydroelectric power (which faces a serious oversupply issue) has attracted hordes of miners, there to set up data center-sized mining farms.

But miners are not the only people you were likely to meet at the event. Some were there to pass business cards and tell you that they have access to cheap power or can help you build large mining farms in more cost-efficient ways, eager to profit from the miners.

Bigger blocks would be a disaster. The block generation frequency needs to be increased, not the blocksize.
