So who has taken the opportunity to pick up a .directory domain name?

As the owner of some Long Island related sites I grabbed:
LongIsland.directory

It's probably the only new gTLD I'm going to take time to pre-register and/or invest any time or money in as
it seems all too easy to fall into a never ending loop of purchases for the new TLD's.

I'd say crap directories with no other purpose or phpld copies are, but there are still good directories. I think the link directory business killed the directory business but not the true purpose of a directory in general.
