A site for listing w/ directory, trying out, and/or showing off your new websites. Several ways to go w/ these and do plan on development.

Broad in that it is to general an idea? You might have a good point there, so if you could elaborate a little, I'd appreciate it.

Thought it could apply to a particular group of developers (ie domain marketers) as a centalized area for showcasing a new site . A place to go to look at sites hitting the net on their first day. The site links would be archived by date and have a permanent (first?) link to the site.

low $xx wholesale each -- this could work if developed properly, but you would need to draw a large audience through advertising.

Hmm.. maybe that is what .edu meant by too broad in scope. I thought if I kept the concept simple ie showcase a new site, as in "opening night", offer free ads and directory placement during first 6mos -1 year of operation, I thought it might have a draw- ie free exposure, nothing to lose. But maybe this is biting off more than I can handle and should put this on the back burner and complete one of the 20+ sites I'm working on at present. I really need to get more active in that area and lay off the names and name mining a bit.
That is, unless I see a good one about to drop or up for sale!

I like SiteOpenings.com better, but thats just me.

My sentiments also. I picked up "premiere" because it is a stronger search term/kwrd than "openings, so the two would work in tandem.

Sell them to somebody else willing to tackle such a "broad" subject.

You should be able to triple your investment, at least (provided you regged these for $8.00 or so).

In that case, maybe you could find someone else to develop it for you? It is pretty broad of a concept, though...
