Should one develop a higher revenue or lower revenue domain?

I have a portfolio of domains currently being parked. Some of these domains generate higher revenues and some lower revenues.

Should I develop the ones with higher revenue domains in the hope of earning even higher revenue? Or

Develop the lower revenue domains so these will earn more revenue and not mess with the higher revenue domains?

i would develop the ones with lower revenue first. development can take more time than anticipated with random snags here and there, and it would be best start with the lower revenue domain to minimize opportunity costs.

Would say the same thing. Start off the least making names first. Why wreck your good earnings possible and on ppc parking ? Just because you develope dosent mean success.

Just my 2 cents. Keep us updated. Curious what you decide to do and approach to things I am at this stage it seems as well and exploring things.

I would agree. You have less to lose if you start with the lower revenue site. Use this one as a template for future development so later projects will go up faster and smoother.

since the lower revenues parked ones are not doing good for you it's time for them to be developed.

you will risk little as well if you do retain those higher earning parked domains.

I am new to this, but this looks totally illogical to me.
You are talking about risking/losing less, are we not trying to make more?
Where can you win much more?
When you have a good name which gets traffic already and because the name is apparently good you could gain a lot of popularity quicker.
Develop a bad domain and you get 10 instead of 1 unique visitor or develop a good domain where you get 200 instead of 100 uniques. What makes more sense?

I would think it is better to take your "losses/less profit" on your"bad"domains and try to capitalize on your good domains, where you can gain exponentially much more money by developing them.

Same idea about people trying to sell domains for 5-10 dollar. Why waste time.Do something with your good names and forget about your 7 dollar investment.

I am finding that a bit of light development and a few ads can squeeze a little cash from domains that earn little to nothing parked. Getting some pages indexed can bring good traffic to mediocre domains. So yeah, develop those underperforming domains :tu:

I feel that its better to develop a new domain in an area that really interests you. It's not important if its a high/low paying niche. But its more important that you are knowledgeable about the niche you plan to develop. Most importantly, you should like what you are doing. Example, I like writing about domain monetizing/optimizing etc and decided to write about it in a blog format...

If you like pottery and have good knowledge about it, just buy a fresh new easy to remember name and start your own website. One logic, that I have learnt over the past 2 years is, if you start a venture with the intention of "helping people" and work at it sincerely, everything else starts fitting in over the course of time.

If you develop one of your names that is earning a lot of revenue, you stand to lose more if it's a flop once the site goes live.

If you develop a lower-performing domain, you have little to lose but MUCH to gain.

It's a matter of balancing risk vs. reward. This is one of the key tenets in running a business.

Depends on the risk you are willing to take.

Normally it would be Low performing domains.

But then after working and spending efforts on it when you again get lower returns from it after development you will hate it and maybe think you might have been more successful by developing the higher performing domains.

PPC is a major concern in developed sites too.

Best choice I think is to develop 2 low performing and 1 high performing domain name. If you have more you can go with the above ratio and it will be a well calculated step.
