i think that's a great offer for that name, considering its a .net If you want to try your luck, I'd say come back with a counteroffer, but you'd probably want to keep it under $1XXX so as to not scare them away. In the end, its all up to you - if you think you wil get a better offer or personally feel its worth more, then keep it. If not, nice sale!

At first review I would say take the offer - but when you research "work" at namebio.com there are a few interesting recent sales:

iwashere.net = $1,111 @ Afternic (9/18/06)
rxhere.com = $1,100 @ Afternic (8/1/06)

I think the name workhere.net is better than iwashere.net (2 syllables for yours) and I think the combination of the words are fantastic. I would probably value the name at closer to 1500-2000. But the question is... do you take the sure thing 750 now? or hope for double down the road? Honestly....I personally would pass... But I never claimed to be a Guru, just stubborn.

thanks

thank you so much for your input giddyup. i just dont want to make the same mistake i made a couple years ago when i sold gobc.com for a mere 750 CDN

exactly justin. i know that workhere.com is portal for job seekers. its full of other peoples links. i got 1,660,000,000 hits when i searched on google for the keywords work here. maybe ill just not reply to this offer for a few days and let them sweat it out a bit

i'd decline an offer of $750. the domain has great keywords, can easily be a portal and is not going to depreciate.

I am along the lines of Domainspade

I'd put it closer to the 2k mark. Just to give you an idea, for most publishers that have multiple media, papers, tv, online, etc. the jobmarket accounts for up to 80% of their revenue!

I don't think its about being stubborn, its about being smart. If you don't desperately need the 750, i'd decline. Making a counteroffer is one way to go, i'd simply decline and see what comes back. if they don't approach you with a better offer, i wouldn't even worry about it and move forward keeping the domain in my portfolio.

although it does not have any decent overture results, the domain itself is very solid, and the extension is just as solid (after the .com of course).
No, I would not sell this domain for $750 unless I really needed the cash.
Now, on the down side (whitch is not always applicable), the name is fairly newly registered.
That could be a negative, as some potential end users see this as a minus. the typical thought pattern is "he got it for 8.85, so whats his/her problem?"
of course many do not know about domain backorders etc...
as far as I can tell, this domain looks to have been hand regged, though I could be wrong.
This however, IMHO does not make the domain any less valuable to me, but some end users see things differently.

so, I stand by my original sentence.
I would not sell this name for less than $1200.

I would certainly sell for $750 if it's a reasonable profit -- solid offers on .nets aren't too common. Look at your margins, your (development) opportunity cost and your holding potential, but don't think that an appraisal of a higher value will mean you'll ever get offers in the neighborhood (we all should know better by now ;) )

Ditto to Rocketfly - ask yourself - how many offers have I had on this domain? That should tell you whether to sell it or not.

Maybe I'm missing something but workhere.com is a parked page for me. It could be someone has plans for this name and are bidding on the .com as well for a price comparison. In that case it would definitely be worth more. But that is just speculating of course.

I think it looks like a good price. Not high but not low.
Taking into consideration the amount of work related domains available it sounds like a fair offer for all.
