So I think GirlsTwerking.com can be sold for a decent price maybe $500+. It gets 40000 exact searches a month and twerking is a very popular viral phenomenon. however I'm afraid itll get buried if I just pay for the basic $9 listing. Do you guys think I should pay the $50 extra to get it on the featured listing on flippa?

I don't use Flippa to sell, so I won't give you advice specifically on Flippa. However, if you believe that this name can sell for more than what you paid for it + $50 + time spent in acquiring this name on Flippa because more eyes see it, then go for it.

The same would go for questions such as should I send to auction on Sedo, should I broker a name, etc.

Factor in your costs and weigh the risk vs. reward between the sale (or non-sale) of the name at break-even or profit.

Have you gotten any appraisals on it? Any interest? Traffic? Revenue? Anything that can help make a $500 sale?

Ive gotten it appraised by the flippa community(not sure if that means anything) and got 544$ mean price. no traffic or revenue its just a domain with 40k exacts

If the Flippa community gave you a mean price, why pay for more eyes and potentially lose money? You already got your target of ~$540 (after listing fee) in the bank apparently as others already want it. They will assist it in building up bids and then more people will see it as more bids come in, possibly stirring up more interest or the same amount of interest you would have if you paid the $60 listing fee.

Though with appraisals, it's just one mans word. It doesn't mean that man will open up his wallet and pay that price, so consider that.

Take into account if you want to set a reserve as well so you can break even and it doesn't end at $1.

The name is not strong enough IMO
it gets 40000 exact searches a month. its not a drone domain but twerking is still pretty popular in its niche

Flippa community have appraised one of my names in the past for a mean of $28,000.

I can barely sell it for 20 bucks.

In my opinion, I would not pay for a featured listing because I believe the vast majority of people do as I do and search for names using the search criteria "ending soon".

I won't address the value of the name in question, I just believe the majority of people browse based on auctions that are ending soon..... Just my 2 cents

flippa offers a free listing for every 15 appraisals you write, so lots of ppl do bogus ones to get it

No no no--the best question you should ask (other than what was suggested above about weighing the pros/cons) is: Do I think this could be developed? If you have something that can't be developed or has limited potential, you won't get a decent bid, no matter if you feature it or not. What could you do with the domain? Make a website of girls licking the corners of their mouths or something? This is very undesirable (the searches for the term mean very little if the term can't be developed). I think you'll be lucky to get a $25 offer for this, thus paying $50-60 just isn't feasible.

what Flippa feature listing can you get for $50? There is a super premium listing for $349 and premium listing for $249, unless you are getting in on their usual 2-for-1 deals and running two names it cuts those costs in half. I'm not aware of any premium listing that runs $50, unless it is for one single promotion such as a tweet to all @Flippa followers, or something.

40k exact monthly searches is a nice number, but you say it gets no traffic? At that level I'd think it should at least get some type in. In any event, exactly monthly search doesn't hold the same draw in today's reseller world that it used to, and on Flippa probably less meaningful, unless as someone else mentioned already the term has some commercial significance or development potential.

Flippa's a crapshoot, bruh, speaking from experience. At $60 its not much of a gamble, I just don't know what premium option you could be getting for that price, and not all of their add-on promotions are created equal. Best bet is the full premium listing at $249 but now you are talking some more serious bling to throw down if you think it *might* only get up to $500. More of a gamble, probably not worth it at that rate, unless you double down on another name and get a 2-for-1 deal.

at the bottom of the flippa listing page theres a la carte premium listing options, for $49 you can get put on the homepage featured list. it gets some traffic a few here and there...

it could be developed into a video site. twerking is a viral dance term and " girls twerking" gets 40k exacts a month. I'm thinking about find some adult industry company to sell this to

Now ask yourself: would anyone pay $500 for a domain that could only really be used as a "girls twerking" website? A hobbyist might pay $50 for it, but I could never see anyone paying $100+ for it. I'm not trying to belittle you; I'm just giving you my 2 cents per your question. It's not worth featuring. You keep mentioning the 40k like it matters. It doesn't. And it's a fad anyway--ppl will likely stop using the term like ppl mostly had with planking. I wouldn't waste any $ listing it on Flippa but you already had... next best thing would be to not spend anything upgrading it.

No, you shouldn't.

Extra marketing dollars should only be used for domains with a higher chance of selling for higher amounts. You could buy an additional (and better) domain for $60, and it could sell for more than the domain you're asking about.
