advice Should I go with the same product name whose .com is registered

Hello,

• I'd like to release a product named MetaMove (Fake name, which is being used as an example here, in place of real name)
• The website for this domain will be completely different and not metamove.com or metamove.net. It will be something like mm.co .
• Out of all the TLDs, only metamove.com is registered and I do intend to buy all the other TLDs.
• Person who owns metamove.com is asking for high XXX and I cannot afford that.

My question -

1. Should I continue with that name ?
2. It won't leak any traffic to metamove.com as my website will be mm.co. Am I right in believing that ? Just that my product name is the same.

People will search for your product by name by going to metamove.com so it will have a negative effect on your business if you don't have the .com. Ask if you can get a lease to own deal from the .com owner. I don't think you need to even waste your money on any extensions other than the .com.
