Can you tell me, what pricing have currently short domain names, eg.

Ө.org

♀.org
...and many others?

You can easy switch to Russian or any other keyboard, but I don't know such a symbol language keyboard...

And that's why the alt codes are a dying breed

In Japanese language, there have Hiragana (ひらがな), Kanji (漢字) & Katakana (かたかな) -
yes, you may type Hiragana & Katakana by Japanese keyboard, but can not type the most popular (most valuable) Kanji by their keyboard directly (as there don't have any Kanji key on the keyboard) -

I'm a native Chinese and I can tell you that there don't have any chinese character appear on our keyboard (either yours) -

then who likes to say that Chinese & Japanese (Kanji) IDNs was no value?

How would these domains appear on different browsers, language and devices. For startes, with mobile growing, would that pose a problem?

there no problem in my eyes.

I am only wanting japanese, i am guessing some browsers can be set to automatically handle different languages in the address bar.

Although the idn website will obviously be seeking a out a country specific audience

Over at IDNF there is an active market, all though if you make a mistake they will pounce on you ! (fast learning curve)but also a good resource
