domain SHIP.NET (17 yrs old) & SHIPS.NET (15 yrs old) - Please Appraise!

Hi guys,

I am trying to broker SHIP.NET (17 yrs old) and SHIPS.NET (15 yrs old) for a friend.

I'm new to this so I've been getting some very conflicting information regarding their value from some of my online web designer friends, so I decided to seek some no-BS advice from domainers who have been there and done that.

What do you think these two are worth realistically?

Both are excellent domains with Ship.net being the best. I think the use when it comes to shipping is worth a lot more than the use to do with a boat.

I think Ship.net is a $XX,XXX name.
Ships.net probably around mid $X,XXX.

Both have the potential to sell for more to the right end user.

Thanks for the appraisal! And I agree with you the shipping / logistics angle to it is far better than the boat one.

Any tips on finding an end user in the shipping industry? Do you think the likes of FedEX / TNT might even bother taking a look? Or maybe smaller fish of the shipping world?

A generic 4-letter word .net? I like this immensely. It could be branded quite easily. At the low end, possibly $18,000. But $35k max looks believable. Selling ship without ships, that is.

Selling both as a pair: around $30-50k looks realistic

What do you think are the best places to list this domain from most to least importance? I'm really thinking of giving Flippa.com a try - it seems to be selling a lot of premium names for good prices lately.

No prob Your domains aren't merely 'good.' Because of this, you should really put these on sale only at elite locations (never post these on eBay). You might wanna hire someone to help you with these, or you could list them @ SEDO and wait for an offer. You have a lotta options!
