I don't think so. It's an alternative name. The domain speak for it self and it will clearly sends the message. I would not guarantee that you will get a nice $12 million for your retirement but someone (end user) will likely buy it to develop it into a nice website related to the domain. Why don't you ask someone you know, not a domainer, about your domain and ask them what comes to their mind when they first see the name. Cheers.

I don't know a great deal about IDNs, but I would have to say that I can't really see it worth that much more than reg fee to Low $xx for a reseller

Personally I see no value in these types of IDNs. If you are going to follow the IDN route then pick a generic word in that language and make an IDN. Making IDNs our of English words seems a little bizarre to me.

If you think there is chance that it could be sold for over $1000, then it be be worthwhile to have several paid professional appraisals done and see what it is really worth. The cost justified. I do not know how IDN work but, personally, I do not think they are worth the reg fee.
