As with most hand regged domains... if developed with traffic and revenue they can be worth some money. Undeveloped I see little value in them, my favorite of the ones you have is Imported Cuisine .com although I don't quite know what you would do with it....

I noticed it was regged a few days ago, if the others were I would see about getting a grace period refund for the names...

Thanks for the response.

I have every intention of developing these to some degree...

I think there is an end-user mkt for all of these domains...but, as of right now, I understand your pessimism. That's the honest $.02 I am looking for here.

ImportedCuisine.com will eventually be international food market/ecommerce type.
Wife's the cullinary artist/genius ...but it's funny that you took notice of that one, for that's where our main focus for development is right now...just makes the most sense.

Thanks, and I look forward to Any and All replies to come....

Actually, as far as classifiedcommercial.com is concerned, do you not believe (that in terms of commercial RE market) that Loopnet (tm).com could:
1. use competition...
2. has been extremely successful?

Obviously, I'm new to this, but let me know if my thought-process is even moving in the right direction.

I can agree with you on those fronts concerning competition and success. I just don't like the name for that application. For example look at LoopNet they picked a domain without commerical/real estae in it at all.. Hulu.com for video watching, they didn't buy watching.com they branded Hulu... ebay is eBay.com not auction.com etc.... I think with all true great generics gone the domain industry is moving towards branding.... Bing.com another example...

Right thought pattern for sure, just the value will be behind the development not the name..

I agree 100% w/ JD

The domain industry is changing. Good generics seem to carry obvious value, but rather than spend out the ransom for a good one, people are branding, branding, branding.
This is a good thing! The money we're saving on the domain acquisition is spent in advertising instead. With so many creative ways to plug yourself, its a better way for the average Joe, say you or me or JD to get out there w/ a smaller up front ivestment. I like the idea for ImportedCuisine.com
Nice medium between generic and brandable.
Good Luck :)

as much as I agree and like brandables, OfficeSpace.com: Where Corporate America Finds Real Estate is a pretty significant competitor to loopnet.com

I think your on the right track. Just be careful when breaking the 14-character rule of domains. IMO.

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this is a FREE appraisal. This is a guess at quick flip resale value not an unrealistic end-user price. Often times my appraisals are rushed, too low, or too high. Sometimes my advice is totally wrong and occasionally downright dumb. If the post stamp is after 5:00pm EST, the chances are even greater that inaccuracies will occur due to blood alcohol levels.

Funny you say that... I have heard of the 14 character rule before. However MY most memorable flip was a 20 character .com with a z and v in it that i regged for $8, then a few months later the buyer sought me out and ending up paying $3400....:lala:

I think the 14 character rule applies more for brand able names and non specific domains...

Just wondering...why have you registered Your401ktoday.com?

Curious to understand brain processes.

I think that people are interested in their 401Ks.. ESPECIALLY today...they're shrinking on every front...
I'm curious as to what's going on with mine and if you also have, you probably understand.

I guess along the same lines as "Yboutube" or "newsonblogs" for you...people are interested and want information. Still not sure how to capitalize on such an information site, but that's why I'm here...
Any pointers????

Like I said, I'm new and probably regged most of this first set of domains strictly on a "sounds good/I'm in" type of whim...with a thought process consisting of dollar signs, numbers and decimals.

I did something similar in my first go-round with bodybuilding...

I invested in more money than I would like to remember in supplements, etc...I got nothing from it.
Then, I went about any and all bodybuilding forums I could find and picked the brains of the best.
I learned that my diet is 95% of my physique and its ability to reform. I dropped the supplements and picked up chicken and broccolli.

Same here--I need to learn the ropes...so any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.
