Hi,
I would like to share some thing!

Lets face it ALL SEO is Technically un-ethical

I mean in reality a website should be able to exist and prosper on the search engines just based on content alone. But the world is not black and white and neither are SEO tactics. By far the strongest SEO tactic is purely "White Hat" and that is writing great content" why because everyone wants to link to great content. These are "true natural links"

Wheras actively seeking links even if so called "natural links" technically speaking is un-ethical but in a world where "everyone else is doing it" this is considered "White Hat SEO"

Now something like a Mini site is great if it offers a user a more in depth look at a particular category of your site.

If you are a company specializing in manufacturing Food Service equipment, You may offer Food Vending Carts, Kiosks, Mall Kiosks and Portable Golf Cart Vending solutions. Perhaps it's easy to get across that some of these are easily related and you rank well for many of them. But you need better clarification of what you offer in a certain area. And/or your site is becoming too big to create simple navigation for your users. When your site becomes daunting for both your designers and your users perhaps a mini site devoted to a particular subject or category would be more appropriate.

It will allow users to find a site on the search engine that can more easily answer any questions they have about that particular product line.
If they need information on other product lines they can click on a link back to the main site.

Think of Frito Lay or Sara lee brands etc... Sara Lee owns Ball Park, Johnsonville and many other household names each requires a separate site as each has it's own household name yet they are also all featured on the main site just not in as much detail.

The subdivisions / mini sites can be changed easier and optimized better for search engines than if they existed as tons of pages on the main site. It's easier to break them down and have each company in charge of their own and it's easier for users to navigate through and find what they want.

Not to mention when a user comes from a search engine they land on a a highly relevant site which should have all the information they need on that particular subject since it is specific to that subject alone...

That ultimately is what Search Engines are really wanting to deliver to their customers "relevant content"

Since Minisites can exist on separate servers if one goes down and SE' drop from listing they will come back up faster into the SE's due to the links still available from their partner sites.

This is seo Ethics

I have read some where ?

Thanks
