Thanks for the update, netcheap.

Last October's electronic attacks against the 13 "root servers" that underpin Internet traffic have prompted Burns to seek assurances from ICANN that the system will be safe from future threats. ICANN formed a security committee after the September 2001 terrorist attacks, but Burns's aide said that the Internet requires concrete safety measures, not just "happy talk."

It's good that they are addressing this. I figure it's just a matter of time before a hacker effort to disable the entire domain name system would be large enough to succeed.
