Selling domains

I have a domain pushed it into my account at domainsite.com .
Now the domain is in my account but at whois it still appear it belong to the previous person....
Also the same but reverse, I pushed a domain into another domainsitre account and it still appear he is not the owner.
Is it that normal, with every registrar is the same or it is a domainsite problem?
How many days for the whois database to be updated?
Or there are further steps involved in order to transfer the property of a domain name from a person to another one?

I am having issues for that with ebay and I really need to know how it works, I wrote to domainsite support, but they as always just don't reply so I hope someone here can .

I think you need to manually update your information.

I don't use DomainSite so I don't know where excatly to go but trying going to "Manage Registered Domain Names." and see if you can update your contact information from that page.

When you try to transfer the domain names to another DomainSite account, there are 4 check boxes under "Transfer to someone elses account using their account code", check all 4 boxes upon submit & the system will automatically change the contact info to the new owner.

If you would like to change the contact info manually, simply click on the domain names -> Edit Contacts

All these data are update correctly, in the control panel the contacts are set to the right person (Billng, contact, administrative and..another I don't remember) .

Is at whois that they do not show properly.

I lookup the whois database, www.whois.com or whois.sc etc. when I access the whois database, there are displayed the Domain Namas owner's data.

Did anyone who purchased a domain Name from someone performed a check at whois ? What it result there for you ? I am very concerned with this issue.
