Selling Domain via Sedo - Very Slow transaction

Recently, I sold a domain to buyer via Sedo.

On 15 january, the buyer sent me a PM with a screenshot and confirm he had made the payment

Today, I still haven't receive any email regarding Sedo had received buyer payment.


My Domain-Transfers staff email is [email protected].

Anyone had deal with gregg.bois before? please post your experience.

Ask the buyer to forward the payment receipt to Gregg asking Gregg to get the account's department to trace the payment.

Greg is a nice guy. Handled several transfers of mine and works well. Maybe the buyer doesn't send payemnt yet so he can do nothing at this mmoment

i deal with greg all the time- i am 50/50 on him- i had a domain sell, sedo even emailed me that the buyer paid, and it took 2 more weeks to get the payment- i finally called, fairly upset, and it was paid paid the next day.

I am going through one right now. It took 22 days for the buyer to pay or for greg to mention that the buyer had paid.

I will be waiting 22 days to push the domain. It is absolutely ridiculous how slow sedo is, and if it isn't sedo, then it is absolutely rediculous that someone would buy a domain and then wait 3 weeks to pay.

often times the buyer does pay on time- because many times, i knew the buyer. (we have a small world here in domainland)
they would email me the proof of payment- and still- the long wait.
if you are that backed up in your escrow dept, then hire more people for petes sake-

I have had pretty good luck with Gregg. I have most of my domains at www.Whiz.in . I have noticed when I can just push the domain to Sedo's account at Whiz, the transaction gets completed pretty quickly. It's when the buyer wants it's tarnsferred to another registrar, such as www.Godaddy.com , then it takes forever. I am waiting too, having reveived the "the buyer has started the transfer.... yada yada yada" email from Sedo.com .

Sometimes when things are going slow, it might be an idea to ask sedo if you can transfer the name in question to them and let them complete the transaction.

Depends at what stage you are at though.
