Has anyone had any success unloading a name that they think may have TM issues?

Lets say you put it for sale on ebay because you don't want to worry about it, does this bring in unwanted attention? Would this be a good way to get rid of a name that you feel may cause problems?

Or is there a better way to "get rid" of a domain, some people seem to have no issues with this type of thing... I have had no problems with it yet, the domain is very newly registered, but I would like to get something out of it if possible...

thanks

Normally selling a TM domain is ok and most buyers understand the risk..however you should make it clear in a sale..I would not recommend ebay to sell a domain. It's a terrible place to get decent money. If your name has value then someone at a place like Namepros will take notice.

Ok, I'll clash on this one....

Selling a TM domain means you had/have bad faith intentions (and in this senario, there is no question about it). Just becasue you sell the domain does not mean you are no longer liable. YOU registered the TMed domain, You made money from it (by selling). A company who owns the TM could still come after you asking for monetary damages from the monies you received from the sale and pursue a civil action ($100,000.00 fine).

Please realize that TMs exsist for the sole purpose of protecting your product/service/ name. TMs are used to keep people from making money off of your hard work. Everyone needs to understand that.

So saying it's ok, well, it really isn't...

With that said, it happens all the time and companies probably won't ever come after the original registrant. Exposing yourself on ebay is not really a good thing, it could bring attention to yourself.
