I am wondering about the possible TM issues from purchasing a domain with a trademarked product in the domain name.
For example, let's take the domain
rogainehelp.com
Would this be a safe name to have, or would there be a strong possibility of action by the company who owns the rogaine (TM) name?

What is/was your intent with registering and owning (for example), "rogainehelp.com" ?!?
If you knew that (for example) "Rogaine" is definitely a ™ ... did you register it to potentially profit from the use of that ™ ? Did you consider contacting the trademark owners to see if they be interested in purchasing your domain name? Did you think perhaps setting up an Affiliate without their permission might prove potentially lucrative? Just some questions that may help to shed some light ...
If you developed the site, what would be on it? :talk:

IMHO, depending on your truthful answers to the above hypothetical ... there may exist a strong possibility of action by the company who owns the "rogaine" (TM) name, in my view.
All the best.

Thanks, Jeff.
I would think of setting it up as an information page on the (TM) product with links to various reports & affiliate links.

I would think that with the word "Help" within the domain, that would be a good potential use for it in my view ... just be sure to get their permission prior to setting up the "Help/Information/Affiliates Links" (where money may be earned based partly on their ™ ) page! :talk:
PS. Not contacting the ™ owners in order to offer them the domain name for sale is a good start, IMHO.

Some TM holders will allow second parties who have contracts with them as distributors or customers use the domain in advertising and domains. However, very few will let a disconnnected third party do this since they have no contractual way of monitoring or policing your use. Unless an actual dealer, I'd stay away and use a generic domain for the site.
