Hello everyone,

I push a domain on Godady Auctions and my question is : can i push on other sites (flippa, sedo ...) ?

I read that it is highly recommended but how it works ? If someone won the bid on GoDaddy and in Flippa what' sur happen ?

Thanks

Don't run simultaneous auctions on different sites, but you can list with a BIN or Make offer at multiple marketplaces - and just make sure to remove them immediately from the others after you make a sale.

I understand for Auctions I more specificly talk about sell, Forget Auctions, if, for example I got 2 sell on 2 sites differents, I can cancel one ?

Most everyone on this forum lists on multiple marketplaces at the same time, but if you list with a BIN price then you do run the risk of it selling at multiple places at the same time. This would not be a good as you could not honor your agreement with more than one marketplace. This can result in negative consequences such as your account being banned.

But odds are you will not sell the same domain at two places at the exact same time, so most people do list at multiple marketplaces for the most exposure.

If you want to avoid any possible conflicts you can list with "Make an offer" at multiple marketplaces with no risk.

Hi

where did you read this?

and where ever you read it, because obviously.... it was incomplete or inaccurate.

it would be very rare for one to get "two sales" for the same name at different marketplaces, unless they were both at a "Buy it Now" price.

if both were "Make an Offer" and you got offers on both, then you could negotiate with the higher bidder and cancel the other, but then, you'd never know if the bidder you canceled would have went higher, than the bidder you're still negotiating with.

feel me.

if you sent the same counter-offer to both parties, and both accepted the amount..... and they were different people, then you'd be in some shit.

imo....

Hi

why don't you take the time and go read the auction rules for each venue of interest.

this way, you'll get your info from the source.

imo....

You should try one by one on different platforms.

Im starting this and was wondering the same thing. Ive sites on godaddy auctions and flippa and all of them are BIN
but there is no chance that you sell a name at the exact same time across two auction sites?
Is there? I dont like saying never!!!

Anything could happen. The likelihood is not great. If you are selling a bulk list of domains on different platforms, it could be easy to forget to remove your listings after selling one.

This problem might be an opportunity for development of a standalone app that can list/edit/remove across multiple platforms via api calls(if there isn't one already, haven't checked).

Yeah I forgot that people would have thousands listed at one time. My domains are just past the hundred. So a lot easier to manage.
And besides from reading around here and other places it looks like my names are not the best :( but im learning and this is why I joined in the first place.

List your domain in as many places as you can! The more visibility, the better. Afternic and Godaddy are owned by the same company. Anything on Afternic with Buy Now will list on Godaddy. They have the greatest coverage for cheap <$1000 BUY NOW domains because of Premium Sales on Godaddy.

Sedo and others have MLS (Multiple Listing Service) that will show your domain availability on dozens of registrars and websites. Unfortunately, they won't do it for Godaddy registered domains (their competitor).

Do Buy Now on multiple platforms if desired. Easy to cancel transaction if already sold elsewhere.
Say: "Sorry, I already sold it and forgot to remove!"
Had it happen a few times. :)

Several times I've had a single buyer make multiple offers on multiple platforms hoping to get a better price, or because I didn't respond fast enough to an impatient buyer. Amounts were $$$$$$, so brokers on both platforms got involved. That led to a sticky situation ;)

So, don't do multiple auctions , since it leaves to many disgruntled customers who will complain and nag you long after you have sold the domain.
Good luck

Well, after some years of experience you would be able to understand which domains will have a limited attractive (let's say: end-users and brandable domain names, can convert into nice sales but it requires an active marketing) and which one will have a high attractive (like LLL.com or pronounceable LLLL.coms or powerful generic .com domains).

After you have divided your domains into these two groups, i think you could list the less attractive domains with BIN price in several marketplaces (but be sure to not disperse them everywhere, limit yourself to 3 or max 4 marketplaces, like Sedo, GD, Flippa and another one), because it's extremely unlikely you'd find two BIN buyers at the same time, and list the more attractive ones with Make an Offer only. You might add a BIN price in only one of the marketplaces.

Just remember to remove the sold domain from the other marketplaces as soon as you complete the sale.

A good practice, if unexperienced, would be list all the domains on the marketplaces (again, max 3 or 4, plus your own website) with the "make an offer" option only, no BIN. After a while (months, at least) you will eventually realize if you have attractive domains or not, according to the views and the offers, and divide them in groups properly.

Years ago it happened to me to have listed a domain on Sedo with a mid $xxx BIN but being contacted through email by a potential buyer who offered me $1,xxx for the domain after few negotiations. He didn't search for the domain on marketplaces (or even google), just did a whois and contact the registrant email . At the meantime i didn't think to remove the domain from there (or at least remove the BIN price).

Right after the end of the negotiations, while i was preparing the Escrow, the domain has been sold through Sedo at BIN. After some insults to myself, to karma, to life in general, i had to accept my mistake, and emailed him about the cancellation of the sale because of inconvenients or whatelse, don't remember correctly.
He was very polite and kind.

Then i figured out the Sedo buyer was him.
