The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I bet SEDO couldn't have seen this backlash coming in a hundred years from domainers.
It was a bad mistake and they'll lose business if they don't make serious changes to how the design looks like as it is today.

I hope they listen and learn!

Previous redesigns have been bad and didn't even try to go mobile, unlike this one. I just don't understand how they make decisions - does one person in-house dream up all this stuff with no discussion or testing?

One laughable redesign took the place from looking like a 1990s spreadsheet to being a 1990s spreadsheet featuring stewardesses - plastered with pictures of young white women welcoming you to Sedo like some cheap airline advert. Later they were replaced by pics of alleged staff.

Weird, not all domains have the new lander page, but having finally seen one of my domains on one, it is not good.

@carob, which domains do not have the new lander? Can you provide one?

Is it a different URL or perhaps just a caching issue?

Probably caching, but try smartguns.com - not mine -and Sedo ToS forbid linking to parking pages. A minute ago that showed the oldstyle parking page.

Those Offer pages are just Horrible!
Where do I begin?
Cluttered.
Bad font with wrong sizing (big domain name/small is for sale)
Graphics that have nothing to do with the category of the domain.
The Buy Now is is a bad location.

This is just about enough to get me to park my domain elsewhere -_-

Offer page and buy now page is disaster. Too much elements in the page very difficult to see make offer box.
Also beware that some parked .org domains do not load, and some also giving malware warnings. Parked .com domains look ok but I only checked a couple of them.

it looks like they improved the database speed
from pain in the a*
to we can work

but I will never understand
why I need to be sold on how to sell a domain
and why I need a domain
when I am already logged in
being a domain selller since 2001

Thanks for pointing this out. I added a name to sedo today and just looked to see if it was working. It is ugly, and it says my name was registered in 2016 and that is incorrect.
I did recently purchase it though it though.
And it says bid, its an offer, not an auction.
The page keeps going, i was going to count how many outbound links there were but I have no time for that.
We should all take our names and make them not for sale. And then send them an email telling them to change it back to the old way.
As the page loads, all the drop down menus cover most of the page. Mine are all not for sale there now, If anything, the distractions they have created will make a potential buyer look at other options. You know what, thanks to Ali, I can change all my nameservers to afternic. Easier to do that, bye sedo
If anyone knows sedo staff here, tag them

at least its faster
what a relief

they don't care what you think of it
as long as they have sales like they do for now

they may think :
we are doing well
so we can't be wrong

but sales are coming in for other reason then
website functionality

if I don't mistake, sedo trying to adapt with mobile user, so, I don't suprise if their website seem old! with blur color and not bright like before, but what matter is speed, if sedo can increase speed, and more friendly mobile, I think they can get more traffic traffic from mobile user, in the end, they can increase domain sales.(hope so)

Awful imo. Can't see beyond the eye sore of a header, what's with the overly enlarged search input and header buttons? A ridiculously large hero image too.

Disaster!

It seems to have lost the marketplace feel. It's like they basically copied Flippa. The site makes little sense. Much lower visibility for domain names. So much fluff. Not sure how this change will be better for Sedo.

I'm not liking the new look at all... I was hoping after a few minutes it would grow on me...but hell no! It's been days now and I seem to dislike it MORE each time I visit the page.... argh!

I wonder how many nameserver changes were made after the redesign went live. It's quite bad, especially on mobile. I'd imagine that Sedo has a quite hefty domain portfolio of their own so one might assume that they have a great opportunity to A/B-test stuff before putting new stuff live but sure doesn't look like that...

Lets face it. It looks bloody awful and like a free or cheap wordpress theme. Chimpanzee standard. Ooh ooh aah aah eee eee !!!!!!!

Probably related to zero click (malware warnings). Make sure to turn off zero click setting.
