Ok guys, you must have seen my sedo bashing posts recently but this time i have a surprise.

After 4 months i moved all my names to Fabulous i started to receive couple of emails from sedo's parking coordinator suggesting me to park them with sedo. Of course i ignored them all as part of the junk mail but few days ago i received another email which really had me to reply.

This guy Jakob Knightly <[email protected]> has given me clear insight about sedo's office situation and the process they're going through. I need to admit that he manage to convince me to try out some of my names on sedo's optimised parked page (allegedly to give better payout).

After couple of emails we had greater understanding about their commitments to serve the best to our community. He also had apologised on behalf of sedo for my failed featured listing. He assured me such shameful incident will never occur again.

Of course all the assurances he had given to me seem to be very promising words from a sales rep but their actions are yet to be seen.

I've listed one of my name back on sedo's featured listing, so fingers crossed if the name been sold then i'll able to judge their services dubbed to be "Better"

Here is i copied some of his words from his last email.

First of all, I would say that we are always making steps to improve service. I do think that there had been some problems in the past with service, but I also would say that some of that is attributed to the fact that, with the rapid growth of the industry, we may have been understaffed to handle each challenge as efficiently as we might now. New companies may not experience this problem as industry growth has leveled off a bit more in the last year or so.

However, I am not here to make excuses and we are happy to provide you with the best service possible now. I will say that, because I am very oriented around parking, I was very concerned about the problems many have experienced in the past. As I see them, they are as follows:

1) Poor parking revenue: Every company does well with different types of traffic. However, we are nonetheless confident that we have been able to pay out our clients fairly overall, as we are one of the larger companies in the industry, which translates to a good relationship with our advertising provider. That being said, if a client was not receiving the revenue per click that he/she felt he deserved, it would be great if they could simply contact a representative here at Sedo. We are happy to take a look and make sure that your earnings are correct and that there is no sort of technical bug or anything similar that might be limiting them.

2) Stats are incorrect. We have hear cases of this, but I believe that this is more a problem with reporting communication than the actual numbers being incorrect. We are actually quite confident in the numbers themselves, however, we can always work on ways of reporting them so that they are more clear. This is one of the aims of SedoPro, which provides clients with more comprehensive statistics (and more of them).

3) Landing pages not aesthetically pleasing. Yes, this is one area that we have really been working on improving as well. In fact, another aspect of SedoPro is that clients can choose amongst five different landing pages, even on a per domain basis. Clients also have the opportunity to have control over various design aspects in terms of the elements on their pages. We have been very pleased with the beta testing for this so far.

It sounds like newcomers are taking thier toll...GOOD!

Its funny to read that email...I contacted MY rep to inqiure about the abysmal click rev and low view stats and they couldn't care less. I got a standard reply about industry averages...blah blah...but now that namedrive and others are up and comers, sedo is getting warm and fuzzy...I hope they tank just as I hope 1and1.com tanks...see ya! :'(

btw: typing on a phone sucks...this line took 2 minutes to type...lol...dedicated np'r

Moving you need some help you are seriously obsessed with your hatred of 1&1 & Sedo. I'm surprised you haven't wished death on them yet.

Sedo is okay, their parking sucks in terms of payouts.

1and1.com is the worst company ever, so I see why moving has a problem with them.

I do wish the company 1and1.com would die in terms of business failure...not very likely unfortunately...and I have told them in their survey...

I just wish more people here would follow suit and totally boycott 1and1.com; and, although I know it's impossible for some to do, boycott Sedo too since they are the slightly better looking stepchild of 1and1.com.

Thx for the sincere advice.

I tried them once and i pulled out. Now they're knocking my door to park my names with them. They assured me all the bad apples have been removed.

I never tried 1and1 even though i'm from England but the bad posts from my counterpart warned me to be cautious. Sometimes we should give people 2nd chance ( i mean sedo). I might give them another chance to prove their words. If this time they fail, i'm going to turn my back on them.

Personally I don't get parking at all. Setup your OWN one-page site, give a little info and put some google ads on there. You could always sell links too if your getting type-in traffic. I'm sure you can get hosting for a couple bucks per month.

Giving the keys to Sedo or another parker and blindly letting them tell you how much your making is the easy way out.

If sedopro is better then it should be rolled out to all members, not just a subset. The business model still sucks particularly as the default parking page is so junkheap in appearance. They have obviously been shaken up by NPers and others jumping ship to namedrive. Unfortunately their useless strategy is to cherry-pick leaving ND with earlier mover advantage in providing quality parking page appearance for all members. For those like myself who have overall seen a rise in parking effectiveness with ND over sedo there is likely no going back to the same company that also brings you 1+1.
