My personal experience with sedo leaves me a little ruffled with the no recourse on non paying bidders.

Snapnames' platform offers more flexibility in listing your domains (listing period, any price, etc.). In my experience, it is easier to sell non-premium domains on Snapnames. In short, both platforms are very different and the quality of your domains would determine which one is more convenient.

At snapnames you can sell only domains registered at moniker.

You can transfer your domain if is not registered with them.

Does it cost $100 transfer fee when you've sold a domain which is not registered at Moniker?

Snap has 20% commission, while Sedo has 10% (min $50 if not parked with Sedo and with fixed price).

I prefer snapnames for dropped domains and use sedo for direct buys and sales

With 20% commission and the requirement your domains to be registered with moniker, snapnames is not an alternative to sedo.

I'm still trying to find the best alternative to sedo. I'm generally happy with them but I don't like the $50 minimum commission. Today I received an offer of $160 and sedo wants to take $50 for themselves.

I also hate sedo because they let the buyer chose any domain registrar they like even though many of the domains I'm selling can't be transferred to another registrar for 60 days.

IMO:

Snapnames= Reseller's Market

Sedo= End User's market

Little bit offtopic, but did you try premiumdomains dot com? I remember I was looking at the site couple of years ago but it didnt look like professional service. I received offer from them today to list some of my names with them and it looks very decent and pro now.

Yes, but in that case, sedo will notify buyer to open account with that registrar and will go with the push (that happend to me).

I think targets are different, Sedo is more for end-user sales, Snapnames is for reseller market.
