I see messages like this occasionally and don't understand. I have my payments set up to be paid to my paypal account and almost always get paid within 1-3 business days of confirming the push. Are you replying to the agent to let them know you pushed the domain and they should release payment? About half the time they release payment to Paypal the same day I acknowledge pushing the domain to them.

Maybe they delay for foreign transactions, non-Paypal payments, or certain payment types, but I normally get paid very promptly once the buyer pays them. I'd be curious to hear if any of these things are the reason.

Yeah it's all set up to go into paypal. I sold loadsa domains through them before and on average it's been about a week tops - this has been two weeks so far. I just don't get it.

2 to 3 weeks is their normal and usual that's for me beyond that it might be a Sunday or holiday

As soon as I take any action after their request (payment, transfer, etc.), I immediately e-mail back to tell them it has been done. Since starting to do this on a regular basis, my Sedo transactions have tended to take less than a week (of course, the party on the other end can slow things down).

Many of my transactions take more than a week really. Some times the blame is on the part of the buyer, but mostly it is Sedo who delays the transaction.

Just take a breath man.. I know it sucks sometimes to wait but it also may save you from some heartache down the road.

SEDO should not change their name. SEDO should be driven out of business by a real competitor. SEDO is a shame to our industry through the way they are treating customers. SEDO probably aims to become like RegisterFly after reading a horror story here describing how SEDO asked a seller to push a domain to the buyer's account directly (rather than to their account because THAT is escrow!) and then the buyer asked for the domain to be pushed to another account causing a real mess. :)

And a new slogan for SEDO!

SEDO - The RegisterFly of the Domain Aftermarket! :sold:

I have yet to sell a name with Sedo but so-far I have no complainsts.

Could be alot worse IMO, like Afternic... Charge you $20 to join, $60-$80+ to sell, 4% final value fee to buyer to buy the name plus the buyers $20 membership fee. And little to no more publicity than what you get in the forums. RIP-OFF, IMO

I sold a domain at Afternic for $315, before I was aware that using their "Expanded" option comes with a MINIMUM $120 fee (it's 20% otherwise, which was "all" I had been expecting)! My fault for not paying closer attention to that at the time, but that is pretty outrageous.

Did you make a call to your transfer agent?

If ownership change can be verified, which can be done by your transfer agent right away by checking the WHOIS, a release of payment can be immediately initiated.

Speaking from experience this is the best route to take, once payment is released it will take the standard transfer time between bank accounts.

I get payed ASAP doing this... Its like babysitting but its better then waiting.
