Sedo Search Quality

I have an objection to the way Sedo presents search results by default on keyword category searches.

The default setting on Sedo search is 'Quality'. This is complete nonsense.

You can select to have search results presented by either Alphabetical Order, Bids, Traffic.

However results presented by default setting of 'Quality' seem to be just a random presentation of results.

Surely 'Quality' should be reflected by traffic, bids and suitability or a combination of these?

I have contacted Sedo to comment on this matter but they have failed to reply.

If anybody here reading this works for Sedo or has personal high level contacts with Sedo management please consider looking into this matter.

I have many Domains that appear in the first results under keyword searches under 'Traffic' settings yet appear lost on further pages under the 'Quality' setting.

where is more. i was looking for domain name and it was showing same name on top AVAILABLE and a little bit down FOR SALE at some nice xxx .

most of my ones appear toward the top when searched for quality & Traffic

one of my names were on the last page for quality but as traffic arrived it has jumped up about 950 places and is now toward the top of the first page on the quality setting.

even thought there are a few names with no traffic above it !!

I have not got my head around how they rank the names !

Yes, thats another thing at Sedo, it regulary shows a domain name on top as available especially on .biz.

Its things like this that make you wonder wether Sedo are trustworthy enough to park with.

There are a few things sedo should work on at this point, not just their search algorithm, in order to keep their current customers happy...

they use is very good......just because yours are not high up does
not mean they don't do a good job.

I really do disagree. Apart from the fact that One word Domains of the same Keyword are displayed first. The rest is Mumbo Jumbo results as far as I can See. Like I said in my first post, Surely Quality should be reflected by Traffic and Bids plus the relevance of the Domain to the Keyword being Searched.

Lets take for example the Sedo 'Quality' Search results For the term 'Cricket'.

On page 6 of the results The Domain CricketUpdate.com is shown with traffic of 336. Compare this to Q8Cricket.com or Cricketol.com which appear on page 1. results for quality, neither of which have traffic or represent any form of superior quality in any way whatsoever.

What the devil does 'Cricketol' mean?

Is Q8 supposed to be a 'Clever' abbreviation for 'Kuwait'?

Regardless of the fact that neither of these Page1. Domains have Traffic they are without doubt far from the Quality of 'CricketUpdate.com'

If this is Sedo doing a great job with a great algorythm then I must consider moving my names to somewhere else.

The above example does not include any of my Domains, so it is without Bias.
