I have an offer of $300 at Sedo for JewJobs.com.

That's kind of low and I need some help.

How much should I counter offer or what do you think the name is worth?

At what price should I send it to auction at Sedo?

Thanks!

The current offer is already more than the domain is worth. Maybe counter at $500 if you want. Personally, I would take the money and run.

Thanks for the advice guys. I suppose the proper name would be JewishJobs.com, there is an established site there that claims to have 45,000 subscribers.

Anybody else have an opinion before I counter at $500?

I countered at $499. From the replies - I should have taken the offer but I am hoping the buyer comes up a little.

Thanks again!

Too many times have I seen a buyer back out at a counter offer of so little. I think pushing it to auction would have been the right move.

Good Luck!

Sedo Bid

I agree about sending it to auction. You may get more; but if not, at least you have the original bid price which the bidder is committed to. With a counter offer you may loose the sale alltogether.

This domain would never have seen more bids at auction, plus the buyer could back out just the same. A contract being legally binding doesn't mean squat on Sedo.

Counter offer of $340 received from the buyer.

I respect Reece's opinion but am debating to accept or risk sending to auction.

Accept it! It's highly unlikely that you will receive any further bids, and you risk losing this willing buyer completely.

Frankly, it's a pretty bad (and some might say offensive) name as it is, so I have trouble imagining that you'll ever get this good an offer again.

Trust me -- don't send it to auction. Counter back again if you want (I personally would take that offer) but I can't emphasize enough that no higher a price is going to come in an auction -- the domain has 0 Wordtracker and less than 500 search results.

sell it and say "i'm that good!"
then be happy and move on to other domains.

Either accept the offer (that's what I would do), or counter with, say, $379.

Do not send to auction.

Their offer seems fair enough.

Now it's time to accept the offer.
It won't get any more bids if you send it to auction.

I accepted the offer of $340. I was going to counter but did not want to quibble over $50 or less.

Thanks everybody for the advice. Sometimes you have to step back from your domain names and take a clear look. I probably would have countered much higher or sent it to auction and possibly missed out on a sale. Glad I asked here!

Now I have to wait and see if the buyer actually pays but I think they will.

Congrats on the sale. :)

A fair price for both the buyer and the seller, I think.

Accept it.THe buyer's counter offer of $340 shows they don't have that much money to spend on the name. I would accept the offer and smile at your nice little sale. good luck

I think you made the right decision. Congratulations on the sale. Don't look back and get upset if it turns out to be a buyer with deep pockets (no stereotypes intended). I would've had the same hesitations you did if it was my domain (in fact missed out on couple sales in the past cuz I got greedy), but it's important to know when to stop countering and take the offer. Congrats again.
