I think its a fair offer. I would suggest you counter with Mid $XXXX and haggle the price from there.

You should counter a bit (altough low $x,xxx is wonderful offer for scody.com imo). And I think you cannot see who is the interestant @ Sedo.

you shouldnt counter imo just send it to auction with that price you might get some more bids. better approach i believe

i agree with lappanion, $xxxx seems like a generous offer so i wouldnt counter, auction sounds like a safer bet.

try a conter offer of $3000 etc. and you can go down depending on the feed back

If you counter don't get greedy. You are unlikely to get another offer for that amount for just a brandable LLLLL.com.

i would say

close the deal.

if i got the choice i will accept it as this name is just a another 5L brandable.
if you ask for a high offer simply he might not respond

I agree. Don't get greedy unless you don't care if you lose the offer. Counter at 2.5 times the offer MAX.

Example: $1200 offer x 2.5 = 3000

Make sure you say something in the comments that gives the buyer an idea that you are negotiable - something to the effect of, "I hope we can come to a reasonable figure for Scody.com".

Good luck!

I think you should counter it but don't be too greedy, as I think you're getting a good deal here. maybe 1,500

I don't think there's a point to send it to auction, as I don't think anyone else will pay more as most bidders are resellers, and it might put off the First bidder to paying you, as you might not seem sincer to sell to him

Good news for 5L .com perhaps? :)

I would probably counter $2K if it was me, with a note saying the price is negotiable. Then if you work out a deal I wouldn't bother sending it to auction. It will just delay the process, and many times it turns of the initial bidder and they won't pay at the end.

I think brandable LLLLL.com sales have been doing pretty good recently. Look at some of the recent sales on eBay.

Thanks for your opinions guys,

I'm going to probably do a low counter just to cover the sedo fees to recieve the full initial.

Fingers crossed for a smooth outcome.....

Thanks again

I would accept the offer or counter a bit.
Good luck with it

I definitely wouldn't push to auction on that one, nobody is likely to pay more than that for a brandable, and you'd just irritate the buyer.

You're brave if you counter that... if they cancel the negotiation you'll probably never see an offer like that again on this name. Good luck with whatever you choose.

IMHO accept the offer.

Nobody ever became broke taking their profits early!

Congrats!

Perhaps, an acknowledgement of the offer and your desired position of expectation with allowance for a fairly negiotiated ending, designed not to rankle or run off the potential buyer. Maybe something as such:

" Sir, I am in receipt today of your offer and thank you for remitting same; however, I have determined the value to be closer to $x,xxx.
Understandably, it is rare that two people agree on most any matter nowadays; therefore, it may be possible that we can arrive at a point that is mutually satisfactory.
In the absence that we cannot, I wish you only the absolute very best in securing the domains that wil best serve your interests."
I await your response. "
