SEDO Not Replying to Auction After Payment Sent: 5+ Days??

Ok, this is quite disturbing and I need advice.

I won an auction from a seller I know, and we processed the transaction via a Sedo auction. I paid right away after the auction ended. The friendly seller (he has been communicating with me, and absolutely no problem with him) has told me that the name was pushed successfully to Sedo several days ago. Nevertheless, Sedo fails to complete the transaction, and this email from this [email protected] character hasn't been replied for over 5 days.

Anyone know what I should do? The name is paid, but they haven't asked me ANY details yet where to push, nor replied to my questions. To describe their incompetency and my feelings now would take pages, but I expected better service from a renown company.

The last email I received was something really trivial for which I haven't received a reply yet...:

You have listed a US address but have selected Canada in your Sedo account. Please
update your address details.

Now, they asked for a residence address [canada] (set in my profile years ago) and while this is my first purchase on Sedo, they prompted a billing address, for which I put my company's billing address [US]. I told them I'd be glad to edit the address if they want the same info for both, but they don't allow editing the country name once selected. So I really don't know what to do, emailing this one "dover" person is pathetic, I thought they'd have a support system where this can be done more professionally. >:(

Again, all this occurred last week and all I got was an automessage since then.

Any thoughts or suggestions for action? This is a mid $xxx transaction. :sick:

Mara just replied to my e-mail (only took 20 minutes for a reply!) and she said Tom will be contacting me. No word on Dover from her! Maybe I can get my $ today... hopefully

Just resend a mail to Dover. Would try to contact Tom if still no updates :(

Thanks to Mara & Tom;Dover undoubtedly deserves to be fired &arrested for negligence!

Finally!

Tom successfully handled the situation, and I now got the domain... :kickass:

Total time it took since auction end: 8 (eight) days :!:

Now, good luck to everyone else who had similar situations, feel free to refer to this thread when you contact mara or tom

I sold a domain 10 days ago. Haven't heard a thing since. Thankfully I have Dover as my rep. Sent an email to Dover five days ago and she promptly has not replied yet. Just as everyone here has stated, Dover is horrible. I can be very understanding if delays or situations are explained to me but no response at all is completely unacceptable. Just sent an email to Mara stating I will walk away from the transaction if it is not resolved immediately. Hopefully I will hear back soon but I am a man of my word and will cancel this entire deal over customer service. I'll post an update later...

By the way, this will be (or would have been) my first Sedo sale. Way to go Sedo!

Maybe I will have to contact Mara as well - I agreed to sell a name 8 days ago but it has moved no further since then.

My sales is 15 days ago.... No any news from neither buyer or Dover. Send 3 mails to Dover to ask him/her cancel the transaction without any reply.

Looks he/she has stopped work

What a horrible Dover :(

Someone on sedo really needs to fire her *** (pardon the language). One crappy service rep loses you a lot of service (and potential sales) (if you are reading this sedo), imo.

tried the alternative method suggested yet? mara[at]sedo.com or tom.fell[at]sedo.com
and I'm sure you'll finally get a response. Don't put up with dover, she is not existent.

Auction ended November 18th. Several bidders. No payment. Sedo "reactivates" transaction December 12th. No payment again. They tell me both 1st and 2nd place bidders booted. Why don't they qualify and take credit cards for payment from the buyers "BEFORE" they let them bid?

I was a first time buyer, and had to have my card verified before I could bid... but I guess it's not hard to forge for some malicious people in an attempt to get the domain

Just find that the Rep for one of my Transaction (In which I am the Seller) has changed as "Erich". Another transaction still handled by Dover (In which I am the buyer, paid by Paypal 3 days already my still show "Unpaid" in my account)

Just send a Mail to Erich and got reply immediately .. lolo.. But it is Auto-reply only..

I got an auto reply from erich too but that is all so far, no human response !

yup, If they don't get a move on and process these pending sales there is a good chance that some of the buyers will go cold and the sale will fail :'(

frustrating stuff eh !

Move over Dover let Mara take over :hehe:

or do what I do now, and just contact the owner directly from whois.
Not to bypass the fees, but to bypass endless weeks of frustration

PS - Is there also a hold up on appraisals, a potential buyer of one of my domains "apparently" has asked sedo for an appraisal, but has'nt received it as of yet ? (roughly 8 days ago or more as far as I know)

Appraisals are being completed on schedule. If the buyer of the appraisal hasn't received it yet, I can take a look and have it resent. Please email or PM me the domain name.
