Unfortunately you cannot change the description after the domain has been sent to auction.
You can put the auction on NP's @ : Domains for sale - External auctions.
The fact that it is in auction at Sedo increases the chances that possible bidders will see it as it is placed into the "Auction Listings" category.

Congrats on your auction. Hopefully it's a good domain that will attract multiple bids!

Good luck,

Len.

Yes you can by easy trick.. but the description will be on all your odmains.

If you have more domains on Sedo .. just edit the description for any domain of them then mark "Apply this description to all of my domains" .. all your domains description even "the one on auction" will be the same.

If you think that your domain can interest more bidders .. you can use AdWords for more traffic.

Hi ronniesmom,

May I know how you get your domains into the auction at Sedo?

I'm new to this :)

Thanks.

If its a very high quality name you can ask them to put it to auction. Otherwise just wait for someone to bid and then put it to auction.

Thanks PeterX,

Is it a common practice to "game" the system by bidding your own names so they appear in the auction - like the way people dig their own post to game Diggs?

I would not recommend "Shill bidding" on your own domains! You will be banned by Sedo and probably from this forum if you are found to be doing it!
I suggest you wait for a real bid. If your domains are half decent someone will want them you just have to wait. Also there is nothing quite like the excitement you feel when you have your first auction. What if you were the only bidder on your own domain? Where's the excitement in that??

I totally agree with Len on that. It's like if you go to e-Bay and put something up for auction and then you keep upping the bids yourself and then end up in the end with no on outbidding you. You are then back where you started with the domain in your hand and no money to show for it.

Shilling is never good when you are auctioning anything.

Thanks for the explanation.

I know it's not good, justed want to find out if it's common practice.

There's this saying - When in Rome.... sorry forgot the rest :)
