Wondering if paying to feature domains at Sedo and Afternic is a good idea or a bad one...

For those of you who sell regularly on those sites, do you feature and what has been your experience.

I ask because I cannot seem to sell a domain for more than a few bucks, and I've never sold one via Sedo or Afternic. I look and people do it every day...I must be doing something wrong!

Thanks!

I think this would be a pretty good feature, considering that there are alot of Domain buyers out there.

I have paid to feature one of my domains. The 'views of offer' got up to about 500 in a month, as opposed to about 10-20 for my other domains. However, I did not sell the domain, nor did I get any offers. At least I got the exposure, though, and with the right domain it would probably help.
Good luck!

Have futured a domain at Sedo twice, views for the listing went up nicely. Though no 'special' offers received. Ofc some lowballs as usual but no real attempts to buy.

The ppc revenue didn't go up any higher because ppl visit the info button of the domain and not the actual domain itself so they won't see the parking page. It also shouldn't be your intention to get your domain futured for getting more ppc revenue.

Eventually the domain did sell but that was 1-2 month's after the futured listing ended.

Would I pay another $39 for one of my names? Think it will only be of benefit if you got a really nice top notch name. Otherwise wait, in domaining time is your friend. Domains tend to become more valuable by time (good ones ofc).

Cheers
