The SEC will mandate Security Tokens, It's easy to see why.

For those that are still struggling to understand the concept i'll explain in a way you can understand.

Example:

Breaking News! The "Token Taxonomy Act of 2018" is a new bill filed by U.S. lawmakers to exempt cryptocurrencies from securities laws. And, perhaps most notably, under the bill’s definition, a digital token “is not a representation of a financial interest in a company, including an ownership or debt interest or revenue share.”

It is conceivable that the existing definition of a "Security Token" would be in direct conflict with the proposed definition of "digital token" according to the proposed law.

Therefore, it is possible that we will see more usage of the term "digital securities" to describe cryptocurrency that represents a financial interest or ownership.

2019 should bring clarification as to the definitions pertaining.

It is not a security token. Security Tokens have actual value so I am sure distinctions will be made down the road because those are taxable.

Due to conventional securities being highly regulated, the use of "token" may be a misrepresentation when used in conjunction with an actual security, or product that contains ownership, example being Security Token. That is, if the term "token" refers to utility value only, by the new definitions, verses an actual security product of ownership. Stay tuned.

It’s very possible that multiple terms will be used to differentiate. I totally agree that the term token is the important factor here which is what I suspected last year during the coin craze. When the dust settles, token is the term that will be left standing. There will just be multiple types of tokens.

Considering the recent sto.org sale for 25k I looked at sto.com and found it is being used by what looks like a successful building facade company based in Amsterdam. Given that they probably wouldn't sell there domain as it is the ultimate domain for them and linked to their brand, does this unavailability mean other sto dot Domain's are more valuable?
