Hi guys,

I am offering my premium geo .tv name Scotland.tv for sale.

Geo .tv's are growing ever popular with the .tv extension widely speculated to be the extension to invest in. Scotland is a top European country famous for its vibrant tourism sector including its many famous golf courses, its beautiful scenery, the Edinburgh Fringe and "T in the Park" Festivals, which attract 2.3 million tourists every year, with 450,000 of these being American tourists.

.tv is consistently used in Scotland (probably the country with the widest use of the extension). .tv is used by the main tv station STV and their network of sites which encompass areas such as dating, gambling etc... , so use of the extension is increasing by the day. This will prove a powerful investment for years to come.

I have to sell this name to finance my flat for uni next year, otherwise, i would have kept it so grab it while you can

I am taking offers via PM and in this thread

Thanks
:tu:

Thanks kev for the kind words.

It was my hardest ever negotiations too Kev, to be honest i loved the haggling over the price though (typical Scotsman arguing over $250 for about a week in a deal worth $6750) :hehe:

This is by far the most i have ever paid for a domain so it is an important day for me, i was nervous as hell when negotiating as its not my usual business.

Im very happy to get it and i think it is important the domain stays in Scottish hands.

i know...uni starts soon so i kinda needed to offload one of my names on the cheap to finance this year lol

What the hell did you need Uni for when you owned a name like that?!? You were already the king of Scotland!!

Good luck, kid. Next time *PLEASE* throw your great names to auction and let us all know about it. I guarantee you would have made at least 10k on this one, maybe a lot more.

I agree as well.

It's up to the new king of scotland now :)

Congrats, I would have thought 10k all the way. It is still a very nice sale and any profit is always good! I have been hoping you would fetch 100K becasue I registered ScotlandTV.TV and ScotlandChannel.TV... guess I will have to make my fortune elsewhere!!! Best of luck with your other names. Congrats to the new owner!!!

Err just looked in my account I guess I got charged for Scotlandtv.tv and I never got it,... I better look for the receipt, CRAP! Damn I need a refund! Must have been an error in the system damn it! Was available when I regged it, and now I look and the whois is backdated to 2006!

Not fair to say that, you did the same with casinonews.tv, saying you missed the Sedo email you were overbid, while the auction end time is very clear.

It's so easy to make these kind of statements, while they make no sense at all.

Congrats to both Kev and Ronnie :)

I was just thinking the very same thing.. all this talk about "oh i would have paid more" but these people didn't and the post that scotland.tv was for sale has been around for awhile. I'm just glad to hear that it will help Kevin with school and Ronnie is excited about the name. Looks like its all good to me.

Thank You for the kind messages all :D

Can i please say something in relation to the "Oh i would of paid more" or "you made a mistake Kev & sold to cheap" type of comments on this thread.

I think some of the comments should not have been said, particularly in this thread. Me and Kev came to a deal that worked well for us both so obviously Kev was happy with what he got and for his life there was no error made. We all want & expect different things from our domains but Kev had the balls to reg Scotland.tv when many didnt (me included) and now he has been rewarded with a fee he feels is good enough & will male a difference to his life.
Anyone who THINK they would of paid more had their chance for many months via Kev's notice in the Marketplace or via Sedo.
Comments like that arent fair to either party in a thread that was celebrating a nice day for us both.
Neither Kev or Me asked how much any of you would of paid or how much you felt it was worth and this thread isnt the place to talk about it.

I wont go on and on about this and i dont think anyone meant any offence but i would advise to think a little about how some of the posts may affect those who are involved in these transactions.

Best Wishes & Thanks again for nice words.
I would like to publicly thanks Millers who also helped me on a few issues before i made this purchase.

Cheers,

Ronnie

WAY TO GO Kev & Ronnie !!!!!!! thats a damn fine sale from either side forget all the people who said they would have paid more. There just mad they didn't get the name, and to be honest I'm also jealous too ;) it's a great name. (For Ronnie's eyes only) - that's a mid to high xx,xxx in 3-5 years IMHO.

Congrats to both parties involved.

I agree that it can be hurtful to include these "I would have given more for the name" comments, and I commend Ronnie for taking the stance that most of these comments were not meant in bad faith......

Kev,

You now have less money worries for UNI...(i.e more drinks at the student bar)....Ronnie, you now need to do Scotland proud with the name...

Good luck to both of you :)

I kinda thought people would say they would have paid more for the name but it was on sale for months before I sold it. If you want to make these $xx,xxx offers, direct them to Ronnie as Im sure he would only be too happy to receive them :tu:

But ye, Im happy with my 1200% ROI and Im sure Ronnie will make a similar percentage, which I hope he does (although i would be a wee bit jealous :hehe:)
