Famous Four Media launched the .Science top level domain name this morning, and registration activity has been brisk so far.

At roughly three hours after launch, 9,680 .science domain names have been registered. The company expects the number to top 10,000 within the next half hour.
Why is .science doing so well? It’s not all rocket science: some registrars are giving the domain names away free or cheap, spurring extra demand. Kind of like .casa and .work, why not try it out for a year?

judging by what I've experienced with namebay it takes approximately 24 hours for the domains to show up in your customer area

I tried to buy some domains via namebay and I got the thank you for your order message. However, I don't see any domains in the customer area nor I see any confirmation emails.
Same here. Namebay showed me yesterday all domains as available (also premium names and taken ones)

It will take 12 to 24 hours for it to show in your account.

Hmm, now I am getting after searching for a domain name (on Namebay) this. It's the same for two hours or more.

Code:
We're sorry, an internal error occurred that prevents the request to complete.

Is this because I am too old for the website? I mean 11-11-1900 was many-many years ago ;)

Come on guys asking for the day of my birth as a MANDATORY field is a fucked up tactics for buying a .science domain. Come on, I am not buying .XXX domain. I will never tell you my birthday date if it's a MANDATORY requirement for buying a .science domain. I may give this info to you if it was OPTIONAL, but not in the current form. It's disgusting to ask for the exact day of birth of a person.

I have never experienced that in my country when I was ordering some service (except porn or other adult stuff, of course). I think GoDaddy doesn't ask that kind of info either, but I am not sure.

I just checked and it's working fine on my end. Try cleaning/clearing your cache or using another browser.
I found it odd as well that I had to enter my D.O.B but for free domains I can't complain.

Still no response from my AlpNames re: inactive/suspended accounts. I am not even sure why they would suspend an account.

Have you tried their support email I face you?

Good thing is that the domain names are still registered under my name. Problem is I can't even access them.

Yup. I tried everything. :-/

Have you tried checking if any of the domains are actually registered under your info at whois? Whois.icann.org?

I'm very close to giving up right now. Tried bb(at)alpnames(dot)com, pl(at)alpnames(dot)com, and support(at)alpnames(dot)com but there's still no response from them.
