Oh, man! Registering a mere 500+ odd .xyz registrations along with a whopping 75K other nTLD registrations makes any usual pattern? As sdsinc said, he registered around 75k nTLD names from the registry he operates, and he registered a considerably negligible percentage of .xyz (just 0.6%) to make the remaining 99.4% of the registrations to be realistic in order to create a hype.

Don't keep on repeating that he registered 500+ xyz in your every reply! :D

Please break it down what he owns and not as I don't get the backlash here?

Why is news like this only debated from members from 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009? Seems to be a trend. :xf.confused:

I am pleased to announce that I have now changed my name and pushed all my names to the new account I have created at my registrar.

To celebrate the occasion I have significantly raised the prices so all can benefit.

Filleth your boots! :D

Simple. New members are the ones who blindly jump into anything that catches their eyes.

haha, Is there any connection between a ccTLD and the nTLDs that we are talking about on this thread?

Well, you said i am a .tv supporter. So what? Is it wrong to discuss about nTLDs if I support .tv? :D

Really I have no clue.

I just asked a simple question which you continiue to avoid. You have told everyone that Frank operates .xyz which is wrong. You clearly state "As sdsinc said".

Study the facts before posting incorrect information.

haha, you misunderstood everything and blaming me.

He registered a total of 76k+ domain names, out of which around 70,000+ from his own registry.

The remaining nTLD registrations are from other registries, which are negligible (just about 1% in total) compared with the remaining 99% of the registrations he did under his registry.

This is what I wanted to convey on that message, and as usual you keep on confusing everyone!

Well if I'm missing something here he reged 500+ .xyz domains and what does he have to do with them?

Show me this, please, or stop the propaganda.
What propaganda ? I am not pumping extensions.

I don't know if he indeed registered 500+ .xyz (assuming they were not freebies..). But that has nothing to do with with his own registries.
He invested nothing in those 76587 domains, or he just billed himself - which is the same. A domain name is nothing more than a record in a database.

By the way, I know of a very successful and famous domainer who once paid 200K for a .mobi (along with other purchases). That wasn't a smart purchase, just money he could afford to lose.
Fortunately, not everybody agreed with the perceived value back then.

Not, I don't think new TLDs are a good investment, not even Frank's.

Read your own hype, not me, quoted above.

Nothing or billed himself, please explain how that works?

(Screenshot removed at thread starter / article writers request)

Sorry, we both have misunderstood from the screenshot found on that link. The above screenshot shows the data for all nTLD registrations carried out worldwide on a single day. From this screenshot, I was also confused like you and thought that he registered 500+ .xyz names as well.

He registered 35992 .property names, 17996 .help names, 13268 .diet names, and 9331 .hosting names, totaling 76587 domain names.

So the fact is, he did not register any other nTLD names other than .property, .help, .diet, and .hosting.

Thanks for the squatting.

Never stated anything else in the article I wrote.

The misunderstanding started when mad409 started to claim that Frank has registered 500+ .xyz domain names from the screenshot you shared on your post. We all had an impression that Frank has registered all the domain names as per that screenshot. No offense intended.
