SCAM domain registrar

I wasn't sure where to post this thread, so if it does not fit here, please move it.

I've recently purchased a domain name at DomainsAreFree.com

I purchased it there just because it had that Globat.com sign, and Globat.com means TRUST to me.

Registration went smooth, but when registered I loggen into the domain panel tried to change ANY info, and nothing semed to work. It has been more than 2 days since I sent tones of e-mail to the Technical support, but got no response. I can't even change DNS of my domain name.

Since the service is powered by Globat.com I contacted those guys two times, they say that there is no way they can help me due to no access to DomainsAreFree.com account and/or their system

What do I do now? I have a project to use that domain with

Is DomainsAreFree.com SCAM ?

Is there any way I can transfer my domain to another registrar?


My domain is CGSKILLS.COM


I will appreciate any answers and help.

WHOIS showed it registered to Anton, fellow russian name :D

I've heard a lotta things about them. Just to name a few:

You can't transfer names out of that registrar
You can't do much of anything with the domains they register.
Et cetera.

Do a search on NP for domainsarefree.com You'll be shocked.

Представители службы поддержки Глобата - долбоёбы. Они не могут ответить ни на один вопрос. Всё время посылают меня к регистратору домена, а регистратор не отвечает на мои письма.

Если бы для себя домен регил, то по барабану было бы! Домен регил для юзера со своего форума ( DomenForum.net ) , хотел подешевле ...

Ладно, пойду снова долбить Глобат ... вот пид*ры

ИМХО они просто реселлеры глобата в каком то роде, я не уверен. Однако на нох дофига отзывов, не то что отрицательные, а просто отвратительные.

За теже деньги рекоммендую www.myvaluehost.com - теже деньги, правда только на первый год, $4. Потом 8,95, на второй год, но регистратор нормальный. После заказа через 15 минут максимум домен уже в системе, там можно все DNS менять, контакты, никаких уёбок.

Вобщем я для себя решил, что мелочиться не стоит, ибо дорого это обходится ... пойду у DomainSite регать, у них отличный сервис, да и не подводили не разу

It's not true. They have been great to me. My domain officialwhois.com was registered there. I just transfered it out a month back. No problem what so ever. My support emails were responded to within 2-3 days. Maybe they don't like you. lol
