I think its great to see new domainers here.

Please learn from the mistakes of others (many others before you) and DO NOT hand register TRADEMARKED names in NEW extensions or any old extension for that matter.

No body here will buy those names from you and you just wasted your money.

If you are lucky enough to DROP IT before a C&D ('don't mess with our TradeMark) letter arrives at your home than you will only lose your REG FEE.

I will add another mistake. Buying tons of names without any research expecting to hit the lottery.

Like any business the most important things are research, determination, and common sense.

I just think that even if only a few newcomers listen and learn from other's mistakes, it's worth a quick post.

Yup! Even after lurking for a year, I own about 15-20 mistakes.
