a domain such as this,with extreme value containing unhyphenated letters,then,whats the value if hyphenated as such?

it is said that search engines cannot see or difference hyphens between letters,and all great keywords i can find have such twin domains with hypens registered as well.

also,i would like comments about an article i read saying that choco-late.com sold for $300,000. some time ago.i can find the article again if needed.

on that domain,truly i cannot understand its value...can anyone else?

As you said, SE's don't see the hyphens so they SEO the same as the keyword or keyword phrase without the hyphen, consequently the value is whatever anyone is willing to pay.

Hyphenated words typically don't get type-in traffic so much of the traffic will default to the unhyphenated domain without some work on your part.
