Did you use Epik and are you owed money by Rob Monster?

You can pay via paypal so it’s safe and they send you an auth code within 24hrs.
Hey @Ryan Ewen. I actually have a couple of questions about this. When buying and selling domains, is there any circumstance in which you have to unhide Whois contact info? I believe with friends/family PayPal (?), some of your info is disclosed? But, hopefully not usually the case for standard domaining transactions? How about “push” or regular sales on Afternic or Dan? On the flip side of this — do you thinks it’s important to display Whois contact info in general, to aide sales?

Thanks again for all of your patience. I’m relying on you to tell me to STFU when you’ve had enough. 😉

Sure no problem.

There is no need to unhide whois for a domain transaction. If people use friends and family on paypal then there are no fees but there are also no clawbacks. I believe if someone is asking you to unhide whois it is so they have some protection by screen grabbing the data and comparing the data after transfer - it doenst make a difference to paypal as you cannot claim back but technically you could go through a legal process.

The only time it may be beneficial to display whois if you list your domains on a market place as it allows you to technically bypass fees as people can reach out directly to you. These people will probably low ball you so it depends if you like the negotiation process.

Ok

This is an interesting one (no pun intended)

There are multiple different ways of valuing a domain - your previous domains i used a different way but lets try this way

Welld(.)one

I would be looking at this end user

https://www.we11-done.com/

139k - instagram followers
1k youtube followers
294 pages on google

High value clothing products

https://www.we11-done.com/shop/item.php?it_id=WD-DP1-24-343-M-BK&ca_id=200140

AHREF=44 that is a decent SEO ranking meaning they have spent money. The site is clean, the imagery is professional. Likely they used an agency to build the site

A shorter brand would be a potential upgrade.

$25k to $45k seems reasonable to me - and as they like a quirky domain a hack could be just what they are looking for to switch to or add another brand to their portfolio. Perhaps watches or baby clothes.

The only thing stopping you is sending an email!

--

Portal.it

Head over to google.it and search for 'portal.it' - wow lots of end users and by searching you realise that

portal.it makes sense - a portal for it companies.

Using google ads - search for 'portal' in italy so it only shows italian search querries

6,600 searches per month which is good. Can't see any advertisers but still has value

For IT companies this is a great hack

Valuation = 6,600 (searches per month) *36 (over a 3 year period) *0.10 (cost to advertise - guestimate) = $23,460

Seems like a fair price to me - maybe even a little underpriced

--

When valuing a domain it doesn't matter which method you use - sometimes you need to get creative.

The purpose of valuing a domain is so that you have numbers and can help people understand how you got to $23,460.
I do much appreciated for your help ,Ryan, actually,i have another 2 domains ,one is hack Bullsh(.)it and Livescore(.)ng, i used a website to analyze Livescore (.)ng its traffic and bot says that it has 2400 visitors each and every single day and ranked 11M in the world, howere ,to some extend, i dont know for sure its accuracy and Google here in my area has been baned for a long time, can you please help me to check its traffic by means of your Web analysis tools?

Thanks very much in advance!

Hi @Ryan Ewen. Periodically, when I’m researching domains to buy, I encounter a message that such and such name is for sale on Afternic or whatever for $x. Should that be an indication to me that this domain maybe hard to sell? Or, should I just chalk it up to old data, like uncleared cache? Thanks in advance.

Ok don't tell anyone but here are 2 hidden gems to level up your domain game. You may have heard of one but you will 100% not have heard of the other.

1) Namesilo - lots of amazing expired auctions. I have bought a lot - it is not as good as it was but it is still an untapped mine.

PRO TIP

Reach out to support and ask them to top up your credit balance as you run out quick when you bid on lots of auctions at once and you don't want to have to put money on account (pre-pay in advance)

2) dn.ename.com/domains - this is the place to buy. You can find the floor price of 4 letters for example by selecting 'contains only letter' extensions=com & length = 4.

3 months ago 4 letter coms were around $90. I check this site every day.

You can download the inventory - dump it into dotdb and can pick up some bargains.

You can pay via paypal so its safe and they send you an auth code within 24hrs.

Buy at Namepros or Ename and sell on DNWE - especially when we launch auctions shortly.

Always check dotdb and then have a quick look at google

Thank you for sharing. I noticed you mentioned you can download the inventory...I am unable to find this feature? Do you need an account to do this? Thanks!

This might be ok to disregard. It occurred to me that someone might be selling at WS vs retail prices in different places (duh).

Hi @RyanEwen A few days ago I joined your site but I noticed that when I search my domain talktral.com it is mentioned that it is taken in 4 TLDs. However, on expireddomains.net it is mentioned that the TLDs taken are 7 and on Atom they are 9. I guess that dnwe.com TLDs count is based on dotdb.com, right? Thank you.

If you are logged in, there is a CSV icon. You can click on that to download it.

Thanks. It's weird. I'm logged in but don't see a CSV icon. I tried different browsers but still can't see it.

You don't see the blue icon next to "Filter Curated"?

@bmugford Oh, at DNWE- I can see the CSV option. I think there's a bit of a confusion here. Ryan, in his post about eName, wrote in relation to eName: "You can download the inventory - dump it into dotdb and can pick up some bargains. You can pay via paypal so its safe and they send you an auth code within 24hrs".

I think the user you replied to, who asked the question earlier, was asking Ryan for a way to download the inventory at eName and not at DNWE. That's also why I thought your post was a reply about eName.

Got it. That's on me for not reading through the whole thread.

Hello,

I assume you mean ultra premium?

An ultra premium would be something rare, registered before 1996, has good data in terms of DOTDB & search potential coupled with being short, easy to pronounce, easy to remember and have the same meaning around the world like 'home' and not country specific like 'colour' versus 'color'.

Typically i would say dot com but there are also other domains that fit into this category where the SLD & TLD make sense - example charity-org or something like com-net (one of a kind collectibles)
Hello, I mean domains more important than what is known, I know a WW secret that governments are hiding from humans for hundred of years, the related domains will beat any dictionary domains!
I have try selling this knowledge before the big reveal but I failed to convince domainers to get on my boat. Between I try to sell it to Mr.Rob from Epik, he gave me 1K USD in Epik credit but then Epik got hacked after some days, I cam in conclusion that it is the hand of the Gov hackers.

If you have an advice how to convince domainers to invest and buy the knowledge before the release so we grab what remain. The idea is that even signing NDA will not be a security for me, I want just 100K for Trillions worth secret, after i get the 100K i tell to the investors what it is and what domains I got, I had a topic but mods moved it to self promotion, but it's too much to write here.

What advice you can give to convince the domainers to get on my ship before I sail?
P.s. after the moment of reveal comes even don't try to get in contact with me my time will cost allot, I will ignore you all the same way you did, tooth for tooth, eye for eye.

Thanks, @Ryan Ewen! This is helpful.
Hi @Ryan Ewen. I hope you’ve gotten some R&R since flying home.

I checked out dnnames and bought a couple of domains. Two q’s — it’s been over 24 hours and I’ve received no code. Should I be concerned or does it often take a little longer?

And two, is there a way for me to tell if one of those names will end up being premium registration cost — before buying? Thanks for your time!

Hi @Ryan Ewen & Co. A word of caution — I’ll have to reach out to Papal & my cc to cancel the transactions at dnename as it’s been over 48 hours and I haven’t received the auth codes I was promised would arrive within 24 hours from China. (I even tried emailing them directly.) It’s a shame — not only because of the hassle this causes me, but also because I liked the names I bought.

I would not recommend anyone do business with the company. Or, if you have done business with them and think they’re respectable, please let me know your experience. Thanks.

Hiya - no you dont need an account on Namesilo. Head over https://www.namesilo.com/Marketplace

You will see an icon on the right - CSV

You cannot bulk download from ename - just copy and paste into excel.
