Rules of selling ad space?

I have had 3 emails of different people asking me to put ads on one of my sites. The problem is that if i sell the ad space and the person decides to later redirect the traffic to a porn site or an illegal website. That's what keeps me from selling ad space on my website. I was wondering if members can share what type of rules do they have to avoid this type of problem?

I'm looking for something that says there's no refund if traffic gets redirected or something like that.

putting up a simple banner ad or text ad isn't going to "redirect" traffic to a bad website... you could always just say that any ads or sites linking from them must be approved by yourself.

If you're looking for somethng in proper legalese, you should talk to a lawyer. BUT how about something like this:

Destination URL for all ads must be approved. Sending traffic to an unapproved URL will result in immediate termination of your ad. No full or partial refund will be given if your ad is terminated for this reason.​

(rel=nofollow will protect YOUR site from being penalized for linking to a bad neighborhood if one gets by you...)

You can always recheck url and if they break you TOS for having ads on your site you can just remove them asap.

Just make sure you give yourself some kind of reminder message to check the links every month if you are worried about this (auto email notice). It can be pretty easy to forget.

Why you are so confused about this ... just mention him that link should not be to porn site. You can put them in your TOS and asked him to sign it with his/her digital signature.

Your problem is solved. You are selling space so its your will to whom you want to sell.
