My sad story starts in 2013 when I purchased WP-Motors.com through SEDO escrow.
Everything went well until it was time to renew and found my account had been locked. Domain.com support informed me the domain had been purchased with a stolen CC... by the person I purchased the domain from.
I provided screenshots of ownership history from Domaintools, Escrow documents from SEDO and even offered to pay any outstanding fee Domain.com was owed by the previous owner.
Nope. Domain will stay locked for five years.
Moral of the story? Sometimes stuff happens and there is nothing you can do about it. And DON'T leave your domains at Domain.com.
