Would be interested in current appraisal thoughts from folks here for;
REX.COM
REX.COM

htmlindex said:Excellent name! I'd say in the Low $xxx,xxx range.
Diabro said:I base my evaluation in the fact that it is a short, easy to pronounce word that passes the "phone test" and has a wide variety of uses including total "re-"branding.
The fact that ireports.com sold for $750,000 shows that there is a market for domains and that this domain is a domain that could garner interest from some unknown and unexpected source in the future on top of everything that has been mentioned in this thread.
My appraisal (if you call it that) is purposely broad and based on my gut instinct.
Good luck.
Unless I needed the money I would not be looking to sell for $2xx,xxx but that is just my opinion.joeyhavlock said:Much appreciated, I like the 'phone test' concept!
gazzip said:Mindshare - For me its more for the VERY STRONG brandable potential of the name IMO - Rex would be a hard name to convert using PPC as its not really a commercial product as such so I think traffic would be a bonus but not essential.
Traffic is only one part of domaining and it has its place, but people are always going to like Brand names, Google, Yahoo, Excite, Egg.com, Elephant.com on on and on....millions of them.
Your name has the Rex Factor...errr, I mean the X factor !
Egg.com offers credit cards, elephant.com offers car insurance - they both advertise on TV all the time and they have the backup and money to make a Brandable domain work.....a domainer does not.
A Brand offers something a Generic domain does'nt....and vice versa
