REX is also the name of Australia's largest independent regional airline: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regional_Express_Airlines. I bet you get a fair bit of traffic from Australia.

I think rex.com is a brilliant domain and since Rex is a generic name you shouldn't have any trademark problems unless you park it with ads from similar industries to the various trademark holders.

We always thought that REX.COM would appeal less to an existing REX out there as opposed to a new organization seeking maximum branding either as REX or potentially in real estate world for the acronym as in Real Estate eXchange. Perhaps a combination of both.

I dont know that these two names would necessarily fall into the same leagues comparatively at all as they are two different words with two different meanings. The only thing I see them having in common is that they are both fairly short.

Yeah, Rex is the Latin word for "king" so you see it in a lot of technical terms. Such as Tyrannosaurus Rex. I think this is where the Anime connection comes from.

Unless you have an exclusive with Sedo they dont like to let you place dollar amounts above 10k. Our official price on Sedo is $275k. $225k is being offered here on the forums. Most of the offers from Sedo are lowballers wanting anonymous inquiry. Most of our serious offers and discussions have come direct.
