Review of my new site - Shop - Still in developement-

Hi there.

I just hired a team of experts to develope my design for OSC.

However, I would like a few inputs on it if possible, its currently just a "image" of the site design, as they need to slice it and fit it to the OSC script.

It's a nice website. You've not lacking on the web design part but the creative part. Personally, I feel there are thousands of websites that follow the same design scheme. You need to come up with a creative front page with loads of whitespace.

I'm not sure I agree. That style works for a reason. It's clear and easy to navigate and I like your colors. What makes it stand out is what you're selling and how you sell it.

Looks like a shopping card script to me. Nothing that's really standing out from the competition, although i have to say that it's designed and laid out better than most other shopping portals. In other words, you're definitely in the range of the better/best looking shopping sites.
Looks easy enough to navigate, color full but not overbearing. The banner could be used for the "item of the day" (check www.woot.com for the idea)
Only thing missing is the favicon

I suppose every site looks like a shopping card script, however, I can ensure you that the site is uniquely built in every aspect.

If you check out Amazon and compare it to mine its pretty like in the layout, I basicly got my developement team to think of amazon and make a new version of it for me.

However, if you dident know these facts you wouldent really notice the similarity.

The banner will for the moment only be linked to different categories as it switches from dvd players to lcd screens etc.

I'll put it in simple words for you. Have you ever looked at the packaging difference between Microsoft & Apple ? Microsoft's package has a whole array of information on it, this certification, that certification, this & that compatibility. On the other hand, Apple has just the Mac logo & a single pic of the product with white background. And people find Apple cool. I like the web site navigation but find the colors a bit too bright. It seems like bright orange& blue are modern these days.
