I'm nearly a noob, so all opinions are welcome

looks nice. simple enough. but a bit dark. I prefer some lighter backgrounds

First, I would like to comment about the background, the background style does not fit the content well, I would really think of replacing that background for something else but not too soon -- The main content, you used black with red, and white as text colour. This combination together make it a bit on the dark and gives your site an uncommon feel. It is your total choice If you prefer dark colours, but I would change the navigation looks, add some introduction.. or content.

I would also think of getting a better logo, and make a favicon.
Well, overall you need to think again about your actual design, with so many improvements should be made. The first impression I had when entering your website is that I didn't know what is the site for.

But most important, the black does not fit the overall background so you should start from there.

Agreed. Not much i can add actually. Like many other proxy sites or sites catering to proxies, your site could use a bit more dynamic. Other than that, Porte is head on.

Thanks for the tips... I’m starting in "creating" my own site rather than use turnkey sites so I’m very noob.

The colours provably is an own preference and i tried to give a 2.0 style... but i know that i have to work a lot on it.

The front page now... is with out of content because i started the campaign yesterday and in theory it will have a top 10 list of proxies or proxy directories.

I also decided to create a little bit of more content compared with other proxy directories to give more food for the search engine.
