Forum Logo Design, $25

Hi,

I need a logo done for a forum, payment of $25 via Paypal.
I want a quick job so 1st drafts should be in today if possible with a view to picking a winner & making payment within 2 days.

Logo Should read:
Main Text: Development.tv
Sub Text: The .tv development community

View the forum at www.Development.tv to get a idea of the look of the forum. Logo should obviously go where the 'AplitexDark' text is just now.
I can send you a file with the background image if that helps, if so then PM me & i'll send you it.

Right now we dont have a vision for the logo, just has to look clean, classy & fit well with the current forum look.
Pay special attention to the '.TV' in the main text, maybe do something special around the '.tv' to make it stand out.

Sorry to be vague for now but we have no clear vision just yet, make some 1st drafts & we will soon work out what we like / hate.

Please nobody send something that is just simple text that takes 2 minutes to type in photoshop, if thats what i wanted then i'd do it myself.

PM me if you want any info, try get working on it as soon as possible & you may have payment before the weekend is over. :bingo:

Nice 1st drafts all, thanks for the quick work.
I've spoken to my partner and here is our opinions on what could make it better for us:

What I think could work well for the logo : - Font and colour for main text : something similar to the "evelopment" part of Tanzoma's logo (not in bold)
- D capital letter as on Stebes's logo
- Design around .TV : something similar to Stebes's logo (not exactly sure if it would work with the font for the main text but I hope it would)
- Font and colour for subtext : something similar to the subtext of Tanzoma's logo
- T capital letter as on Stebes's logo
- Subtext should read ".tv" rather than "TV" (the dot being obviously important)- Subtext aligned to the left (because of the design around ".TV")

We need a blend of the simple, corporate look of tanz.oma's but also a little bit of the design elements the others tried.

Stebes: We like the 2nd option much more.
Could you make the sub-text much lighter though.
Maybe try a few variations of the design around the '.Tv' also as we are not 100% sure there.

Could you please provide a 'web preview' like tanz.oma done as it makes it so much easier to get a feel for the design.

Can you make the subtext a little bigger, i found it a little hard to make out. (did you use a shadow, if so then maybe get rid of that) Try leaving a little space between main text & subtext also.

Maybe try changing the .tv to something nearer the early design as we didnt think it worked on your latest design.

Hi,

Sorry for the slightly later than expected reply but we have been debating this design a lot.

Can a Web Preview be included with all future designs as without it we struggle to see how clear the text will look.

Here is what we like so far:
The Text/Subtext in 'Stebes' latest design is our favourite so far, looks perfect for the site.

BUT

We still havent seen a '.TV' that fits our vision. The '.TV' at the right hand side should be the 'wow' factor really as everything else is just text (nice text though) So please try design something a bit special for that area.

One thing we thought may work is the rectangle, almost TV shaped Box that tanz.oma used in post 9. Maybe try something like that but of course make the text sit better as its too close to one side.

We are getting close to completion now, some small changes & then we should be happy.

Stebes: The '.TV' still isnt working for us (sorry)
Could you try making the TV shape a lot more like a slightly curved rectangle / modern flat screen TV with the letters '.TV' on the screen.
For the TV Shape, maybe something like the tv shape on: www.wrexham.tv

If you have any other ideas to make the '.tv' part really stand out & look custom designed then please give it a go rather than try one design and wait all day on us being able to get back to you (due to time zones we are sleeping when your designing)

We havent discounted your design at all.
We really like the Text on Stedes but the '.tv' part has not been perfected just yet.
I like your current design but want to see a preview 1st.
