How can I become a domain name reseller??

Edit: I just looked and it looks quite expensive. Is there a way I can work on comission for a site. For example for every name I get 5% instead of buying a 100?

Yes, you can.
I am reseller of Godaddy.
They offer a great program

There you have 2 different programs
One cost 99$
and the other cost 179$

Te best one its obviously the 179$ one, because you earn at least 1$ per domain sale plus many other comissions (hosting, private registration, and other stuff).

Godaddy sell that program in 209 i think, that on porpuse so you can purchase for less in some reseller sites like mine and help me grow a bit (godaddy dont need that as me hehehehe).

Do you want to resell domains or want to trade domains ?

Yes what you want is to become an Affliate
Sign up at commission Junction for Yahoo/Godaddy/Netfirms/Dotster and many others . These company's then pay you a Lead/Commision on sales

or if you want a low / no cost entry Reseller program than there are several
registrars that offer Turnkey sites as little as $50 and API solutions for Free

If you only want to buy at a good Price for your own needs ,then maybe a bulk rate deal from various registrars is an option. Several registrars/resellers offer Discounts for bulk orders,some don't even require pre-payment ,just minimum purchase amounts. For instance RegisterFly offers 50 .info's for $67.50

First and most important thing you need to do when considering a reseller is
not Which one or How much, But Why do you think you need a reseller agreement.
A lot of domainers get themselves a reseller agreement for the wrong reasons.

The biggest drawback is that you lose any recurring payments that customer may have, but most large domain purchasers don't stay with resellers too long anyway (Typically, plenty of exceptions to the rule).

But the recurring customers payments is where the money is, at least in my oppinion, as "large" buyers have their own GD or Enomaccounts.
Remember the GD reseller programm is not for domain traders, it is for individuals, who generally purchase 1-5 domains, and hosting.
Once they have your hosting with you they likely will stay, as it is a bunch of work for most ppl to move hosts.
It is a common error made by most resellers, that they try to resell/advertize their services to domaineers.

I pay $90 + i buy my domain and my hosting+ i have to make web site which will resell domains based on what? I mean do they give you some kind of ready to go store fronts? or i have to write my own, or it is just a similar to affiliate program, where i have to make a link to them and refere customers?

Well, to sum, the info is this
Godaddy sell reseller plans.
For example i have the suppereseller one.
As supper reseller, i set the prices at 90 and 179$ for the resellers plans.
The difference between both of them are the percentaje you get for each domain register you get from customers + hosting + ssl certificates + private registerin + lot of things.

In my opinion the plan that i am selling at 179$, that godaddy set at 200 to help reseller sell those plans, is the best one "cost-benefit".

With your purchase, you get an automated solution.
You just have to set the prices you want to sell the products, set the collors for your store, maybe if you what change some images and thats all!
then start marketing!!!.

Its fully automated, you dont have to do anything and its really professional. All pages of your website (that its hosted by godaddy so you dont have to pay for host or bandwith) has your logos/banners and customers are from you, so you also get bonus for the renew of their services.

In my opinion, if you can get some customers, its truly worth.

If you sell some kind of domains and maybe some hosting plan, you will get soon you investment, and then... just start earning.

Four Different Ways to benefit from sales of Domains

a/ Become affiliate and collect via LinkShare/Commision junction,
a commision on any sales resulting from the clickthrus from ads
displayed on your own websites.

b/ Get a management control panel reseller agreement
This is a w'sale order based system offered by only a few
registrars. They provide a web based control system
which allows you to setup accounts for customers and sell them
domains at your prices . There is no actual shop/website,
but customers have a web Based control panel for their domains.

This is ideal for WebDesigners selling domains to clients of their web
Site Design services and don't need any storefront sales
Most of these are free from the registrars.

c/ Get a Reseller TurnKey Site from one of several registrars/resellers
offering them. This is a PreMade Stand alone website .

All you need to do is add you own branding ,such as the

Without appearing to being prejudical ,if you have difficulty with reading and understanding the previous explanations, then maybe a reseller site is not for you.
