I used to own the domain rerunit.com I had thought about developing it but I never did. I let the domain expire and now it looks like someone has made a neat site out of it. Just thought that was cool, wish I woulda held.

LOL i can see who you would have mixed emotions about that one - similar has happened to me and im sure ive done it to others by developing some dropped domains too - but you gotta think - would you have financed a site like that... and I doubt the name was just re-regged cleanly - Im would bet that it was auctioned off after expiry and caught someones eye

ReRunIt.. catchy/memorable.. the domain fits the site. a lot of time and money obviously went into the site thats on it now

if anything, i think it proves the disparity between potential worth of a domain developed and undeveloped. after all, ebay and google were once undeveloped domains. i dont think anyone saw what was going to happen there.

but don't be too hard on yourself. at the time that you owned that domain? were you hiding your whois or could people see it clearly? did you state on the site's parked page that the site was for sale? it ended up going to someone who likes playing old clips of old shows.. thats a hard market to target.. how do you find people like that..
